IceColdDrPepper_Here 2 Was it PI? Yeah. Should Alabama have made more plays? Also yeah. I'm putting Bama at 2 even despite the loss because Georgia and Alabama have solidified themselves as the 2 best teams in the country to me, and we will be seeing this game again, possibly 2 more times
Inkblot9 2
jimbobbypaul 2
Justanother_0 2 Despite the loss, Alabama looked to be Georgia's match for the whole game, with 50/50 calls and a break in discipline being the ultimate difference maker at home. While I'd pick Alabama to win a possible rematch, they'll have to wait to get it.

Zef_Apollo 2 Probably controversial, but I'm not moving Alabama down. I had them #2 last week based on their resume including two ranked wins and those wins have aged even better, plus the SC win looking better. Also, I can't in good faith punish them for what was a hard fought battle against UGA and only losing by 3 when so many controversial calls went against them. I think if any one of the missed calls (PI, targeting, interception, facemask, facemask on Keelon) get called then this probably goes the other direction. Obviously, they may have still lost but regardless, I think they have the best resume and I won't drop them for losing a game to a higher ranked team. Other teams will jump them that are undefeated as they deserve to - I suspect that Indiana (100%) or OSU (probably) will jump them this week if they win, same with ND probably. But, ND and Miami on effective Byes and OSU's loss looking worse with lower and fewer quality wins - I just don't think they should be moved down below them.

Maladroit44 5 I don't love that it happens for an SEC team that certainly doesn't need the ranking help, but I do appreciate that a number of ballots this week seem to be taking Bama's loss in stride without dropping them, and sometimes even raising them (as I've done). I should be clear that—at least in my case—this isn't a matter of treating the Georgia game like it's *not* a loss because of that nonsense no-PI call, because those things happen and there's really no way of knowing how the game would've played out if it had gone another way. The reason is much more straightforward: they proved very clearly that they can hang with #1 for a full 60 minutes, and I can't imagine anybody who watched that game really thinks *less* of them as a result.

Lefunnymaymays4lief 7 (-1) Bama gets a taste of what happened to Auburn in like, literally every SEC game they played last year. Hurts doesn’t it? Russell dazzled at times, other times reminded you he’s a freshman. Rest of the team at times looked like a well oiled machine, other times looked like they couldn’t point out Tuscaloosa on a map. Dijon Lee should lay off the mustard for a while. This game actually made me think higher of Bama as a team overall, but you don’t move teams up after a loss. Simple as that

T-Thugs 7 Alabama is my top 1 loss team and I think a real contender for the title this year. They have very nice wins over Mississippi State (4-1, beat Missouri) and Kentucky (5-1, beat LSU). Also have wins over Florida State (3-3) and South Carolina (3-3). Only loss is to Georgia.

tier 2a: Bama, Texas, & tOSU are all 1-loss teams with great losses or Texas owns H2H v tOSU. So Texas > tOSU, and UGA > OU, so Bama > Texas > tOSU
