Express_Dinner7918 Ballot for 2026 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 11, 2026, 3:30 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Resume based. Undefeated teams are given preference when needed.

Rank Team Reason
1 Georgia Bulldogs Beat a top team as a road underdog, previous #1 lost
2 Miami Hurricanes Miami has looked more impressive than Notre Dame, Wake forest win has aged well.
3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Can move up to #2 or #1 depending on how hard they win
4 Indiana Hoosiers Above Ohio state based on being undefeated.
5 Ohio State Buckeyes Texas loss looks worse by the day. Probably the best team in the big 10 but won’t believe it until next week if they win
6 Ole Miss Rebels Not a fan of this placement, earns it by default with the other one loss sec teams losing just last week
7 Alabama Crimson Tide Valiant effort against the new #1 team keeps them in the top 10.
8 Utah Utes Pains me to say, but best looking team in the big 12 by far.
9 Texas Longhorns Also not a big fan of this placement, but can’t justify taking a #1 team out of the top 10 based on a last minute loss.
10 Texas Tech Red Raiders Only this high because of being undefeated and the Houston win.
11 UCLA Bruins Probably overrated, but being undefeated with a road win in Autzen has to count for something.
12 BYU Cougars As much as I would love to be an homer, ugly wins against 2 bad teams keeps them out of the top 10. Notre dame will tell how legit this team is
13 Mississippi State Bulldogs On a bye. Moved up due to losses around them.
14 Kentucky Wildcats Will Stine will probably have back pain in a few years after dragging his massive balls around. One of the better resumes in the sec only held back by the preformance against South Carolina and needing 2 4th quarter comebacks back to back.
15 Missouri Tigers In hindsight, last week was more about how bad florida was compared to how good Missouri was. Also partially why Mississippi state is ranked higher
16 Iowa Hawkeyes Dominant win on the road and overcoming the nerf of a Midwest team playing late night west coast football.
17 Oklahoma State Cowboys Only way I can explain the Tulsa loss is them looking ahead to Oregon. No other reason.
18 Houston Cougars Dominant win on the road. Win over Oregon State is aging well.
19 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Played Miami the hardest so far.
20 Boise State Broncos Milk Can is back in Idaho. Still the best g6 team.
21 Arizona Wildcats Back to back weeks of offensive fireworks puts them on the list
22 James Madison Dukes Best team in the sun belt. Difficult to see another loss in conference play.
23 New Mexico Lobos Best team in the mountain west
24 Northwestern Wildcats Kinda here by default.

Next 5 up:
USC
SMU
Nebraska
Wisconsin
Florida
25 Oregon State Beavers Good chance to win the pac-12

Omissions from the Ap poll.
USC: Not at all impressed with their performances in conference play.
Tennessee: Same as USC
SMU: Louisville loss looks bad in hindsight.
LSU: only thing you’ll ever be #1 at is blowing it on the road.
