Justanother_0 6 Kewan Lacy has to be the most underrated player in all of the FBS. People are too quick to attribute the florida loss to the Rebels coming off the LSU game, but truthfully the biggest difference maker in that game was Lacy being out. Chambliss might be one of the best QB's in the game right now, but if you're down your top running back there is only so much you can do. With Lacy back and Ole Miss seemingly coasting, I am willing to somewhat lessen the impact of the Florida loss.

StFuzzySlippers 10 Some big results in the SEC this weekend led to the collapse of the Great Transitive Chain I talked about last week. This makes Ole Miss's resume look much less impressive now than it did last week. Still, I'm not gonna drop them after such a dominant performance on the road. I'm willing to view the Florida loss as an abberation until proven otherwise.

sgtshenanigans 11 This is the spot where I want talk about the beautiful chaos that is college football. Nine of my top twenty-five teams from last week lost. Many of the teams that lost earned their second loss of the season. It seems there are about 5 elite teams and the rest is pure chaos this year. Ole Miss stays where they were last week because while they smoked Vanderbilt both their best win LSU and their “best” loss Florida both take their second loss. Still think Ole Miss is a bubble playoff team.
smartkeg 11 The Florida loss hurts, but Louisville and LSU are still meaningful wins. The 52–17 Vanderbilt win was a solid bounce-back.

Lefunnymaymays4lief 12 (-1) They ground Vandy into a fine paste, so this is not punishment for that more than it is rewarding UCLA for being the surprise they are. That L against Florida isn’t exactly an aberration but it is looking more likely like an obvious letdown spot having a pretty tough go at the start of the season between the neutral site Louisville game and the emotional Magnolia Bowl. The defense that let them down in that UF game looked very solid Saturday though despite the fact Vandy can’t run to save their lives anymore

T-Thugs 13 Ole Miss is 4-1. I had them near the top of my rankings earlier in the year before their loss and when the LSU win was looking phenomenal. Still solid. Wins over LSU (4-2), Vanderbilt (3-3) and Louisville (3-3). Lost to Florida.

Dominates Vandy. Georgia didn't do that ... might mean something
tier 2b/3a: idk if these teams are CFB teams or best or the rest teams, all SEC teams so someone is in each spot. MSST > Mizzou in H2H, MSST/UK better losses (Bama) > Mizzou, Ole Miss (MSST, UF). Then MSST has the Missouri win, which feels better than Kentucky's LSU, but so close. Missouri over Ole Miss, since Mizzou beat Florida who beat Ole Miss, splitting hairs.

IAmAChemicalEngineer 20
Maladroit44 20 Every passing week, I find myself with less and less faith in this team. It feels a little mean dropping them repeatedly when they've only had one really bad result, but we can't sit around and pretend down-to-the-wire wins over Louisville and LSU are as impressive, or a blowout loss to Florida as excusable, as they were at the time. The Rebels' best win and their only loss both got substantially worse this week, and they should drop for it, but in most polls they'll stick around in the top ten as a matter of blissful ignorance.

d1sportsball 11 Ole Miss's wins are falling apart, as LSU falls to 2 losses and Louisville sits at 3 losses. Furthermore, their loss is much more embarrassing. Still, they seem to be improving based on the eye test and fixing many of their early season issues.

Effective-Lead-6657 11 (17) A dominant win and chaos all around them causes Ole Miss to shoot up the rankings. The middle of the SEC is a mess right now. Hopefully, things sort themselves out soon. Missouri v Ole Miss will be a big game this coming Saturday.

ninjatown23 11 Ole Miss did what is expected of them when playing a weaker opponent. They move up due to LSU dropping.

This Circle of Suck in the higher end of the SEC has me confused on how good teams truly are but I still think Ole Miss is the "best of the rest" of those teams
