Roscoe_Filburn Ballot for 2026 Week 7

Ballot Type: Hybrid

Submitted: Oct. 11, 2026, 12:01 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Human poll assisted by modified SRS

I apologize for ranking Texas A&M last week. That was foolish of me.

BONUS RANKINGS:
First 5 Out: 1. Wisconsin 2. Wake Forest 3. Kentucky 4. Baylor 5. Florida
G6 Top 5: 1. Boise State 2. New Mexico 3. James Madison 4. North Dakota State 5. Oregon State
Bottom 5: 1. Charlotte 2. Louisiana-Monroe 3. Northern Illinois 4. Sacramento State 5. Akron
"Mid" 5: 1. Georgia Tech 2. West Virginia 3. South Florida 4. Syracuse 5. Arizona State

On Kentucky, as cool as it is to win on walk-off 2-Pt conversions two weeks in a row, my computer poll rewards dominating performances more than squeaking by.

Rank Team Reason
1 Georgia Bulldogs Kind of hard to argue for anyone else at this point.
2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
3 Alabama Crimson Tide One missed PI call away from swapping places with the Dawgs.
4 Miami Hurricanes
5 Indiana Hoosiers My prediction is that the Northwestern and Nebraska wins will look a lot better come the end of the season.
6 Ohio State Buckeyes Texas beat Ohio State by 1 point. Oklahoma beat Texas by 3 points. Michigan beat Oklahoma by 7 points. Minnesota beat Michigan by 6 points. Purdue beat Minnesota by 28 points. So Purdue should beat Ohio State by 45 points. That's how this works, right?
7 Utah Utes Don't sleep on the Utes.
8 Texas Longhorns The Red River Rivalry is always weird and never disappoints. While that loss was bad, wins over Ohio State and Tennessee keep them in the Top 10.
9 Texas Tech Red Raiders
10 Missouri Tigers This has been a strong year for the old Big 12 (R.I.P.).
11 Nebraska Cornhuskers They didn't win, but they proved that they deserved to be here.
12 UCLA Bruins The JMU coaching pipeline is paying dividends.
13 BYU Cougars
14 Houston Cougars
15 Tennessee Volunteers
16 Ole Miss Rebels
17 LSU Tigers My computer poll still really likes the Tigers.
18 Northwestern Wildcats Let the record show that I am not a coward.
19 Arizona Wildcats Only loss is to BYU with dominant performances elsewhere.
20 USC Trojans
21 Oregon Ducks Believe it or not, UCLA is a quality loss now.
22 Iowa Hawkeyes
23 Boise State Broncos
24 Pittsburgh Panthers People are talking about SEC cannibalization being the new Pac-12 cannibalization, but no one is talking about ACC cannibalization.
25 New Mexico Lobos
