Lefunnymaymays4lief 2 (+1) Similarly to Georgia, Notre Dame looks pretty damn complete with a vet QB; the difference being UGA passed the first of their major tests this past week while ND has played pretty light up to this point (even though all of Wisconsin, Purdue and UNC are probably better than anticipated) (and also I like Carr quite a bit more than Stockton). Provo will absolutely be live with it being a 5:30MT kick and GameDay coming to town, ND will just have to continue to shut out the noise and continue suffocating their opponents… and also stop pussyfooting and start Jonaz Walton already

Maladroit44 3 Miami/ND is a thoroughly meaningless ranking debate, given that these two teams will settle it on the field in the first week of November. But in the meantime, I've leaned towards the Canes over the Irish mostly on the strength of Miami's win over Wake Forest, a ranked victory that only gets better with every passing week. The best win ND has to compare is over 4-1 Wisconsin, which...*could* be good, but it's a precarious thing to balance an elite's resume on the strength of another team that has no meaningful results yet otherwise. The Badgers play UCLA, USC, and Iowa next, though, which could prove instructive about whether the Irish's win over them should be given a bit more respect.

6-0, 5 P4 wins, tell me who has a much better resume. Lacking a signature win, but Wisconsin + UNC don't suck.

sgtshenanigans 5 Stanford stinks but even with some key players out for Notre Dame they still handle business easily. This game was basically over after Stanford’s first play from scrimmage. Offensive line for Notre Dame really feels like it is coming together and that is really showing up in the running game.

GeauxTri 15 Undefeated and highly rated by current power metrics, though the resume still lacks an elite win.
Justanother_0 15 This is it Notre Dame. If they win against BYU, then I'll accept that this is a good team with a weak schedule. If they lose, then I'll know that they're a team that lost a lot more from last years campaign than what was let on in the preseason.

(Those following my ballot specifically will know that I am overly critical on Notre Dame due to the schedule that they picked out for themselves, because if out of the six games you chose the only one that looks competent is BYU then I take it as an attempt to abuse being an independent in order to get an easier schedule. I will say that this ranking is paired with the the fact that I also wouldn't pick this team to beat BYU right now. Should I be right, I won't drop this team down more than a spot or two. If I am wrong, they'll be in the top 10 at minimum.)
