Maladroit44 7 I still love college football, I do, but *man* are the schedules brutal this year. Alabama and Georgia didn't play a real contender until this week; Indiana won't until next week; Miami and Notre Dame won't until several weeks from now. Utah is waiting for that same date, when they'll face off against rival BYU in the Holy War to start November, and they might not have a ranked win on the resume at 8-0 heading into that matchup. Realignment hasn't left us with a whole lot of truly meaningful, like-versus-like games for the elites, and that makes it hard to evaluate a team like this for long stretches of the season.

Imagine the Texas/OSU game where 3 quarters are great but one is a disaster, but the quarter is random and it hasn’t actually resulted in an L yet; that’s been Utah football this year so far. A complete performance against KU probably would have made me put them above Bama. However I am quite the Dampier enjoyer

_THE__BOULDER_ 8 I'm always pretty high on Utah. I like the Utes again this year. Utah put up a good result against a Kansas team that I don't think is bad. Despite the Jayhawks' attempts to cut into the Utah lead, Utah kept putting up points. While it did get within 3 points (27-24 towards the end of the 3rd), Utah stayed strong and scored twice in the 4th to win 41-24.
