douchebagjack Ballot for 2026 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 11, 2026, 3:36 p.m.

Overall Rationale: i try to only use this years results. using general conference strength as to which wins are good vs bad. P4 win >> PAC, American > Sun Belt, MWC > MAC, CUSA. FCS wins are worthless to me. i restart each week so this will change 100% next week.

Why should they be ranked? Have they beat multiple P4 teams? Have they lost one game or less? Undefeated P4 stay on top. No FSU/bama shenanigans here.

This poll feels factious early because it’s 100% results driven. Not a predictor or a talent indicator, purely the most deserving teams.

HM (no order): JMU, USC, Oregon

Rank Team Reason
1 Georgia Bulldogs Best 3 Wins: Alabama, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt.
0 Losses
best win and undefeated who goes higher? like nobody deserves the top spot more.
tier 1a: best team in the country
2 Indiana Hoosiers Best 3 Wins: Northwestern, Nebraska, Rutgers.
0 Losses
Nebraska, Northwestern have not been pretty, but 6-0 still. Lets see when they play someone we know is legit legit (ohio state)
tier 1b: nd, indiana, miami, ucla are all close. but NW + NU > WAKE + Clemson> Wisco + UNC > Oregon, but it is close
3 Miami Hurricanes Best 3 Wins: Wake Forest, Clemson, Stanford.
0 Losses
a win over bye always helps
tier 1b: nd, indiana, miami, ucla are all close. but NW + NU > WAKE + Clemson> Wisco + UNC > Oregon, but it is close
4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Best 3 Wins: Wisconsin, North Carolina, Michigan State.
0 Losses
6-0, 5 P4 wins, tell me who has a much better resume. Lacking a signature win, but Wisconsin + UNC don't suck.
tier 1b: nd, indiana, miami, ucla are all close. but NW + NU > WAKE + Clemson> Wisco + UNC > Oregon, but it is close
5 UCLA Bruins Best 3 Wins: Oregon, California, Purdue.
0 Losses
They survive their first test. Looking like a obvious top ten team at this point
tier 1b: nd, indiana, miami, ucla are all close. but NW + NU > WAKE + Clemson> Wisco + UNC > Oregon, but it is close
6 BYU Cougars Best 3 Wins: Arizona, T.C.U., Iowa State.
0 Losses
4 P4 wins is good at this point. 6-0 record, only knock is the schedule at this point. Big XII conf champ is theirs for the taking at the moment
tier 1c: BYU has 4 P4 wins, Utah has 3 P4 wins, TT has 2 P4
7 Utah Utes Best 3 Wins: Kansas, Iowa State, Arkansas.
0 Losses

tier 1c: BYU has 4 P4 wins, Utah has 3 P4 wins, TT has 2 P4
8 Texas Tech Red Raiders Best 3 Wins: Houston, Colorado, Oregon State.

They win bye week, but BYU is their major opp at this point.
tier 1c: BYU has 4 P4 wins, Utah has 3 P4 wins, TT has 2 P4
9 Alabama Crimson Tide Best 3 Wins: Mississippi State, Kentucky, Florida State.
1 Losses: Georgia.
best loss in the country. higher due to kentucky win looking good good. They may be the second most talented team, but for now they are at 9. CFB lock basically feels like
tier 2a: Bama, Texas, & tOSU are all 1-loss teams with great losses or Texas owns H2H v tOSU. So Texas > tOSU, and UGA > OU, so Bama > Texas > tOSU
10 Texas Longhorns Best 3 Wins: Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas State.
1 Losses: Oklahoma.
Rivalry loss. But still a loss. Oklahoma is not good. Don't let this be like the Florida loss last year.
tier 2a: Bama, Texas, & tOSU are all 1-loss teams with great losses or Texas owns H2H v tOSU. So Texas > tOSU, and UGA > OU, so Bama > Texas > tOSU
11 Ohio State Buckeyes Best 3 Wins: Iowa, Illinois, Maryland.
1 Losses: Texas.
A Maryland win doesn't move the needle at all, but it counts all the same in the win column. 5-1, but their quality loss takes a hit
tier 2a: Bama, Texas, & tOSU are all 1-loss teams with great losses or Texas owns H2H v tOSU. So Texas > tOSU, and UGA > OU, so Bama > Texas > tOSU
12 Mississippi State Bulldogs Best 3 Wins: Missouri, Minnesota, South Carolina.
1 Losses: Alabama.
a win over bye always helps
tier 2b/3a: idk if these teams are CFB teams or best or the rest teams, all SEC teams so someone is in each spot. MSST > Mizzou in H2H, MSST/UK better losses (Bama) > Mizzou, Ole Miss (MSST, UF). Then MSST has the Missouri win, which feels better than Kentucky's LSU, but so close. Missouri over Ole Miss, since Mizzou beat Florida who beat Ole Miss, splitting hairs.
13 Kentucky Wildcats Best 3 Wins: L.S.U., Texas A&M, South Carolina.
1 Losses: Alabama.
Big win over LSU. Kentucky looking good good at the moment
tier 2b/3a: idk if these teams are CFB teams or best or the rest teams, all SEC teams so someone is in each spot.
14 Missouri Tigers Best 3 Wins: Florida, Kansas, Texas A&M.
1 Losses: Mississippi State.
Missouri drums Texas A&M. They aren't good, but at least they didn't struggle with South Carolina.
tier 2b/3a: idk if these teams are CFB teams or best or the rest teams, all SEC teams so someone is in each spot.
15 Ole Miss Rebels Best 3 Wins: L.S.U., Louisville, Vanderbilt.
1 Losses: Florida.
Dominates Vandy. Georgia didn't do that ... might mean something
tier 2b/3a: idk if these teams are CFB teams or best or the rest teams, all SEC teams so someone is in each spot. MSST > Mizzou in H2H, MSST/UK better losses (Bama) > Mizzou, Ole Miss (MSST, UF). Then MSST has the Missouri win, which feels better than Kentucky's LSU, but so close. Missouri over Ole Miss, since Mizzou beat Florida who beat Ole Miss, splitting hairs.

nebraska > northwestern > oklahoma state
20 Oklahoma State Cowboys Best 3 Wins: Oregon, West Virginia, U.C.F..
1 Losses: Tulsa.
Tulsa lose looms very large. I think this team is more like the one who beat Oregon, not the one that lost to Tulsa. Let's see as they traverse the Big XII
tier 3b: 1-loss teams with a loss to a top team, but haven't beat anyone good yet. Iowa beat Michigan, most legit win besides oregon, lost to ohio st most legit loss. wake beat louisville, but lost to miami, etc etc

Texas win in the RRS. That's a banger of a win. Keeps them in contention I guess. Worse for Texas than good for Oklahoma long term I think. Throwing them in here as a lol, assume they won't be back.
