Lefunnymaymays4lief 4 (+2) Through 23 quarters of play, OSU has looked absurdly dominant particularly because of the greatest skill player of an entire generation. The problem is that applies to 23/24 quarters, with that 4th quarter in DKR being the one reason they aren’t #1 right now. And unlike those top 2, despite having probably the highest level of talent cumulatively in all of CFB, the Bucks seem quite unbalanced; WR depth outside of Smith concerns me, and their front 7 (particularly their LBs) almost seem like they don’t wanna be there at times whether they’re creaming opponents or not

I think if a team covers Smith effectively then OSU may be a 3 loss team. Lucky for them, that would take an NFL team to do. I suspect they win against Indiana.

Maladroit44 6 As with Indiana, a lot of what we know about OSU now is about to get substantially less relevant when the two face off. In the meantime, though, I'm feeling a little harsher about the Buckeyes' loss to Texas. I haven't punished them much for it until now because, well, a one-point loss in a hostile road environment early in the season against an undefeated top-ten team is about as excusable as it gets. But the Longhorns have shown a lot of cracks, even more so in their first loss of the season against OU. If the Sooners could expose Texas for their faults, and Tennessee almost could, it does reflect a bit poorly on Ohio State that they failed to do so, doesn't it?

1 Losses: Texas.
A Maryland win doesn't move the needle at all, but it counts all the same in the win column. 5-1, but their quality loss takes a hit
tier 2a: Bama, Texas, & tOSU are all 1-loss teams with great losses or Texas owns H2H v tOSU. So Texas > tOSU, and UGA > OU, so Bama > Texas > tOSU
grjohnst 11
HieloLuz 11 Ohio State has had a pretty easy schedule so far, with Texas and Iowa as the only meaningful opponents. The blowout win over Iowa is good, but it's all they have right now. That changes going forward, as Indiana, USC, Oregon, Northwestern, and Nebraska remain on the schedule.

_THE__BOULDER_ 4 While Bo Jackson did put up 107 yards over 23 carries and scored twice, I'm a bit concerned over this offense's tendency to say "fuck it, #4 down there somewhere". Granted, Jeremiah Smith is good enough to be relied on like that, and this wasn't the game to necessarily be worried about that if you only look at the numbers - Smith was targeted 5 times, caught 4, and turned that into 93 yards. However, there was one play - the incomplete pass to Smith - that gives me pause. Sayin took a big hit there as he stood his ground to make the pass, but he really just chucked it and prayed it seemed, because he took the hit after he released the ball, and the throw was into double or triple coverage. It was thrown short and the only reason it wasn't picked was because the guy dropped it. This team's over reliance on Smith concerns me. While they haven't done anything to shake my faith in their current standing, I can't say that I'd be surprised if they end up losing another big game to big competition.
