CarbonCamaroZL1 2 Terrifying offense and the defense hasn't fully gotten into a rhythm yet. However if the offense can learn to stay on the field a bit longer and continue this playcalling, they are going to be a leading contender for a National Championship.

mellolizard 2 Urban has a joke suspension.  They have a good team.
nickknx865 2 My power rating system put Ohio State at #1. I don't agree with it, but I don't disagree with it by a whole hell of a lot. Even without Urban Meyer, they're still the Big Ten title frontrunner.

bgr308 3 Ohio State easily handled one of the other OSU's (Oregon State) in the first game of Urban Meyer's suspension. However, Urban returns to practice this week, but will not coach in game until after the TCU game on 9/15. That TCU game will be a good measuring stick for this team,as Ohio State hosts Rutgers this week.
Blooblod 3 Little to no movement.
BosskOnASegway 3 Biggest question coming into the year was how will OSU survive without JT and without Urban early.  The question was answered with a resounding offensive performance.

stripes361 3 Buckeyes fans should be mildly concerned about their defense after yielding several big plays on Saturday to an underwhelming Oregon State team. However, three long touchdowns accounted for over 50% of the Beavers' yardage total. I expect Ohio State to be much more dominant once the coaching staff fixes these early-season lapses.

bwburke94 4 Ohio State vs. Oklahoma was a tough one to decide. The computers give Ohio State a slight edge, but the Meyer situation (which the computers don't know about) is enough to drop the Buckeyes down.
CambodianDrywall 4
captain_sasquatch 4 tOSU clearly dominates and reserves the right to be THE true (the) OSU. Haskins looked really good. Will be interesting to see him against better competition. A little concerning they gave up 31 points to the (vastly inferior) OSU. Hopefully THE rue (the) OSU shores that up if they want to stay in contention.

Disregardskarma 4 Great Talent, Great coaching, but a lot of distraction. Could easily win it all, but I could also see them dropping a couple and missing the playoff

GenialGiant 4 Despite not having Urban Meyer at the game, Ohio State was able to take care of Oregon State, though they may need to tighten up on defense.

monkeymatt1836 4 Ohio State played with an edge against Oregon State to the tune of a 77-31 in the first game of 3 without head coach Urban Meyer on the sidelines. Dwayne Haskins looks to be a terrific pocket passer, finishing the game 23-30 for 313 yards, 5 TDs, and 1 INT. The biggest surprise of this game was Oregon State being able to score 31 points on the Buckeye defense riddled with NFL talent.

YellowSkarmory 4 77 points is really good. Allowing 31 isn't quite as good. Win was still by 46, though. But ASU jumps over them due to allowing 24 less.
A-Stu-Ute 5 That's a lot of points, but it's still only Oregon State.

GilBrandt 5 Welp I knew they would handle the weaker OSU, but they really man handled them. Oregon State was able to score some, so hopefully they are starting to have a team again instead of the dumpster fire we have come to know. Ohio St on the other hand appears to be doing just fine with Meyer currently out of the picture.

PHubbs 5 No reason to move them up or down after 1 week - beating up on a second string QB for the likely last place PAC-12 finisher edition.

xelphin 5 Emerged victorious from the battle of the OSU's with an extremely high score of 77. Despite having 31 scored against them, Ohio State did this while playing a surprisingly competent (at least on Offense) Oregon State. Without the insane plays that Ohio State was able to pull out, this could have been much, much closer.

standrew5998 7 Oregon State has a very real chance to go winless in the PAC-12 despite missing Washington on their schedule. The fact that they hung 31 points on Ohio State does not bode well for the buckeyes. The 77 points they scored were impressive, but against conference competition, I highly doubt they get that kind of production.
TheReformedBadger 7
W_Is_For_Will 7 They beat a [REDACTED] [REDACTED] without their [REDACTED] Coach Urban Meyer. The rest of the game was a blur causes of some sleepy medicines I am taking or have taken in the past but I assume they did good.

311polo 8 77 points on a P-5 team??  (even if it is Oregon State).  Impressive.
52hoova 8 Doesn't look like not having Urban is going to slow them down too much. I guess we'll find out week 3 if his pseudo-suspension slows them down against TCU.

woakley 8 Guess Urban didn't affect Ohio State too much. Didn't play too tough of an opponent but still rolled to an easy victory and showed that they are just as talented as ever
moistats_ 9 Ohio State obliterated Oregon State in a better fashion than I expected. The Buckeyes gained my respect for their execution without Urban Meyer.  They are easily my runner-up pick in the Big Ten, for now.

T-Thugs 11 They played a pretty bad Oregon State team, but they completely dominated them and Oregon state is a Pac12 team. I generally count p5 wins as better than non-p5 wins to start the year.
ToLongDR 11
noahthearc 13 +5 spots. Still a certain measure of uncertainty around Ohio State due to the coaching issues. The offense looks as good as ever, but the defense may have some problems. Win the next two and they'll be back to their normal championship talk.
