52hoova Ballot for 2018 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 4, 2018, 1:26 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
1 Alabama Crimson Tide They are who we thought they were!
2 Georgia Bulldogs Same as last week, plus took care of business with a 45-0 shut out against a cupcake.
3 Clemson Tigers Same as last week, plus took care of business with a 41 point win against a cupcake.
4 Auburn Tigers I don't think they will finish here due to a brutal schedule, but their defense looked nasty against Washington.
5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Same as last week, plus a great win against Michigan.
6 Michigan State Spartans I had them #4 last week, you can read my reasoning in last week's ballot. They looked bad against Utah State, but it's hard for me to drop them too much. Starting to doubt they are as good as I thought they were, but not going to move them way down on a one-game sample size if that one game was a win.
7 Wisconsin Badgers Same as last week, plus took care of business with a 34-3 win against a C-USA team.
8 Ohio State Buckeyes Doesn't look like not having Urban is going to slow them down too much. I guess we'll find out week 3 if his pseudo-suspension slows them down against TCU.
9 Oklahoma Sooners Kyler Murray is exactly what we (Aggie here) thought he would be when we recruited him.
10 Washington Huskies Shaky start against Auburn, but played really well after the first quarter.
11 TCU Horned Frogs Same as last week, plus took care of business with a 55-7 win against a cupcake.
12 Virginia Tech Hokies Bud Foster.
13 Penn State Nittany Lions Huge red flag to almost lose to App State... but again, can't knock a team too much for getting a win.
14 Stanford Cardinal Rough start, and Bryce Love got shut down... but a 21 point win is a 21 point win.
15 USC Trojans Giving up 21 to UNLV is potentially cause for concern, but can't knock a team too much for getting a win.
16 LSU Tigers Absolutely dominant win against a team that won 10 games last year and returned quite a bit.
17 West Virginia Mountaineers Will Grier has confirmed he is good. Tennessee might not be great, but a 40-14 win is a 40-14 win.
18 Michigan Wolverines Got beat by a Notre Dame team that I think is really good. Played okay after a terrible start.
19 UCF Knights Same as last week, plus took care of business with a 56-17 win against a bad conference opponent.
20 Iowa State Cyclones Same as last week, and didn't get a reason to judge them any differently.
21 Mississippi State Bulldogs Same as last week, plus took care of business with a 63-6 win against a cupcake.
22 Oklahoma State Cowboys Same as last week, plus took care of business with a 58-17 win against a cupcake.
23 Boise State Broncos Absolutely dominant road win against the best or 2nd best Sun Belt team.
24 South Carolina Gamecocks Same as last week, plus took care of business with a 49-15 win against a G5 team.
25 Northwestern Wildcats Good road win this week. Gotta put someone down here.
