bwburke94 10 Computers had Stanford #11, but I bumped them up a spot to avoid shutting a P5 conference out of the top 10.

captain_sasquatch 10 Does Bryce Love have the yips or did the highly vaunted SDSU defense just show up to play? If Costello can perform like he did this week AND Bryce Love lives up to the hype then they're going to be a serious contender for the Pac 12 and potentially the playoffs.

moistats_ 10 Stanford looked very strong against San Diego State. Also, Costello looked respectable in the most valuable position in American football. Arcega, Love, and others could lead Stanford to a very successful year than most people expect. The match against USC next week will determine my Pac-12 pick in the next week.

standrew5998 10 I'll admit it: I didn't watch this game. I did, however, see that they won it in convincing fashion, and they get to move up because other teams suffered scares against inferior competition. Speaking of...

chrisb19 11 some early struggles and uncharacteristic line play, but the Cardinal looked good in the end. It's gonna be a fun week 2 clash against the Trojans and then we'll see the measure of these 2 teams.

Miami_da_U 11 Big test to see who the 2nd best team in the P12 is right now. I'd bet Stanford. USC, Oregon, and ND will determine if they are a top 10 team this season or more of a top 20 team.

PHubbs 11 SDSU took Bryce Love out of Stanford's game plan, and it didn't even matter. Stanford was the methodical, dominant team that Shaw seams to roll out every year no matter what personnel he has. Stanford gets the best match-up of week 2 in a game against USC to prove just how good they are this season. I expect them to come out with a win as they compete with Washington for the PAC-12's top rank and potential playoff spot.

Blooblod 12 Little movement. I was an off-season believer in J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, but if you told me Bryce Love would've been held to 29 yards and 1.6 ypc and Stanford STILL won I wouldn't have believed it. I'm not concerned about Love long-term, so it was good to see that this offense isn't one-dimensional.

nickknx865 13 Stanford struggled with SDSU in the 1st half. They couldn't get anything going if their lives depended on it, but they kept going on, and avenged last year's loss by a 21-point margin.

stripes361 13 Stanford put up an impressive all-around performance in an underrated win against San Diego State.
T-Thugs 13 Stanford won pretty handily against a San Diego State team that went 10-3 last season with solid wins over Stanford and Arizona State. SDSU may not have the same caliber team this year but there isn't much to work with so far.

311polo 14 Dominated SDSU who is one of the best G-5 teams in the country. A team that beat them last year.  And done with a poor performance from Bryce Love.  Stanford is a darkhorse playoff candidate, particularly if it can get by USC next week.  Please, oh please, beat USC.

52hoova 14 Rough start, and Bryce Love got shut down... but a 21 point win is a 21 point win.
BosskOnASegway 14 Stanford played football.  I can't say much more than that.  I only have watched the game vs SDSU.  Moving up one spot as Michigan and Miami tumble, and VT jumps ahead.
cajunaggie08 14
Charlemagne42 14 After a slow start, the Cardinal jumped ahead of SDSU and finished strong. Bryce Love is making another excellent campaign for second in the Heisman voting.

bgr308 15 Saturday, Stanford beat a good SDSU team 31-10. Junior QB KJ Costello played very well, throwing 4 TDs and 332 yards. WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside caught 3 of those TDs to go with his 226 yards on only 6 rerceptions The defense allowed Juwan Washington (possibly the next great Aztec RB) 158 yards and a TD. Stanford hosts USC Saturday, which will be almost surely be one of the biggest games of Stanford's schedule.

woakley 16 I'm really not sure what to think of Stanford. They soundly beat SDSU, but they didn't look too good at times while doing it. Their traditional run game didnt seem as strong as usual, and their defense had a tough time stopping the run.

hokies220 17 Love not working properly? No problem when you can actually have a passing game this year. Defense looked solid after the first quarter too.

noahthearc 17 +1 spot. Stanford ran away from San Diego State after a nervous first half and moves up as others slide.

xelphin 19 Absolutely has some scary talent at WR and QB, but seemed to need a kick in the teeth early in the game by SDSU before they woke up and began to make plays.

YellowSkarmory 20 Interestingly, Bryce Love got held under 30 yards rushing. But that's beside the point. Stanford won by 21, but only allowed 10 which is why they're up here.

dicky_________seamus 21 Stanford left a lot to be desired. It will be difficult for them to make any noise if their Heisman candidate RB can't do better than 18-29 for 1.9 YPC against SDSU. They still won pretty handily, but I am skeptical.
