CoopertheFluffy Ballot for 2018 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 4, 2018, 9:24 p.m.

Overall Rationale: I watched 19 football games over the last 5 days. Two of those were Japanese, so maybe they don't count. Another 5 were unranked (I'm counting Texas-Maryland in that), which leaves 12 games and 15 ranked teams. Among those teams, I evaluated how good I thought the team looked while watching, with no regard for any actual stats except final score. After I apply Gut Feeling, I then re-ordered a bit based on bias, for which teams I can and cannot stand, and which ones I'm scared of.  Then I used other teams who won to fill in the cracks.

Rank Team Reason
Oklahoma Sooners They're the only team who really looked good playing a team who is supposed to be a decent opponent.
Georgia Bulldogs
Alabama Crimson Tide
Clemson Tigers
Ohio State Buckeyes Oregon State scored 31 points on you.  In case you've forgotten, 31 is exactly the number of points you're not supposed to let people score on you.
Wisconsin Badgers We just didn't look right.  The score did not reflect how much ground our defense gave up. The game exposed serious issues with our passing game. I believe we could have scored twice as many points if we decided to use Taylor more, but we won't just be able to run against big opponents, so we need the Heismanbrook we know and love back.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Okay, ND looked pretty good playing a decent opponent as well. But it was Michigan.
Auburn Tigers Sure, you beat a ranked opponent, but you looked bad doing it.
LSU Tigers LSU is BACK
Stanford Cardinal
Michigan State Spartans
Penn State Nittany Lions
Washington Huskies <3 Dubs
TCU Horned Frogs
USC Trojans
Michigan Wolverines Michigan actually put up a fight.
Mississippi State Bulldogs
UCF Knights
Virginia Tech Hokies
Miami Hurricanes
West Virginia Mountaineers
South Carolina Gamecocks
Boise State Broncos
Washington State Cougars
Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors
