dicky_________seamus Ballot for 2018 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 4, 2018, 1:16 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide The top three aren't changing until I have a reason. I really wish Alabama didn't have a dynamic QB. Also I don't care about Saban's comments. Let's stop talking about them.
Clemson Tigers They looked pretty damn good - and A&M plays them next week.Gig Me.
Georgia Bulldogs I was concerned they'd lose a step in their running game but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Auburn Tigers I was not very high on Auburn going into the season, but their showing against Washington (who I think will make the playoffs) was super impressive. Nobody impressed me more this weekend than Auburn.
Wisconsin Badgers I don't think Wisconsin gets enough credit because holy moly their brand of football is the antithesis of sexy. That said, Wisconsin has been the most consistent B1G team over the last two seasons, coming into this one.
Ohio State Buckeyes They looked good but Oregon State is ass, my dude.
Washington Huskies Really impressed with them. I thought the game was going to turn into a blowout after the first half of the first quarter. They showed a ton of heart and were right there to win it at the end. Play that game 99 more times, and I would expect the results to be 50/50.
Oklahoma Sooners I am a Kyler Murray skeptic, but I can appreciate thumping teams you are supposed to thump.
Virginia Tech Hokies They're winning their division. Clearly the second-best team in the ACC at the moment.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Their performance got a B1G commentator suspended lol. I can't really tell if they're good or if Michigan is bad, but I'm guessing it's more likely that ND is pretty good.
LSU Tigers Well... I was hoping LSU would be bad this year. They're not. Gig Me.
West Virginia Mountaineers Perennial September national champion is great in September again. Tennessee couldn't do a damn thing against the defense. Even though it's just Tennessee, it's still refreshing to see from a Big 12 team.
South Carolina Gamecocks I'm sold on the Gamecocks. Their offense looked pretty good, and the defense as salty as ever. I don't think their year last year was a fluke. They're actually good.
Mississippi State Bulldogs It's hard to read too much into FCS shellackings, but wrecking their opponent without their Heisman-worthy QB didn't go unnoticed. It'll be hard to judge how good they are until they play someone worth a damn. I thought that'd be Kansas State but it's not looking that way.
Texas A&M Aggies I don't know how to react to A&M when they run the ball effectively, so I will overreact. It's week one, and if my rankings hold, A&M will play #1, #2, #4, #11, #13, and #14 before the season is over. I believe in Jimbo and an improved Kellen Mond, but this is a difficult schedule. Let me have my top-15 matchup on Saturday leave me alone.
Michigan State Spartans Good lord they did not look good.
UCF Knights That's quite a win streak my dudes.
Boise State Broncos I thought Troy was pretty good. Apparently not as good as Boise.
TCU Horned Frogs Not sure what to make of TCU. They took care of business handily while others didn't.
Penn State Nittany Lions Let's be honest - they didn't win on Saturday as much as they avoided losing.
Stanford Cardinal Stanford left a lot to be desired. It will be difficult for them to make any noise if their Heisman candidate RB can't do better than 18-29 for 1.9 YPC against SDSU. They still won pretty handily, but I am skeptical.
Michigan Wolverines I think Michigan will improve as the season goes on. They need to recruit OL good lord.
USC Trojans If they were any less impressive, they'd lose to Maryland.
Washington State Cougars Off of everyone's radar yet again, but Leach can field good teams. I'm thinking the Apple Cup will decide the division, but WSU won't be playoff bound if they win.
Arizona State Sun Devils They played to win the game. Hello???
