BosskOnASegway Ballot for 2018 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 4, 2018, 1:39 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Duh.
Clemson Tigers Double Duh.
Ohio State Buckeyes Biggest question coming into the year was how will OSU survive without JT and without Urban early.  The question was answered with a resounding offensive performance.
Georgia Bulldogs Best of the rest for me at this moment.
Wisconsin Badgers Almost no threat to Wisconsin exists in the Big Ten West.
Oklahoma Sooners Baker who?  Oklahoma looks fine without Mayfield.
Auburn Tigers Moving up a bit after notching the best win of week 1.
Penn State Nittany Lions Struggled against App State, but scaring P5 schools is App State's MO, so we can tentatively let it slide.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Notre Dame this high feels wrong, but a ranked win earned moving up at least a few spots.
Washington Huskies A loss to Auburn doesn't deserve a drop past 10.  This feels right.
USC Trojans USC always takes time to get started in their first game.  No move for them in my book.
Virginia Tech Hokies Somehow I did not rank VT last week.  Correcting that with gusto.  Bud Foster is the truth.
Michigan State Spartans Playing down is Michigan State's signature move.  Some teams passed them, others ahead fell, keeping them flat for now.
Stanford Cardinal Stanford played football.  I can't say much more than that.  I only have watched the game vs SDSU.  Moving up one spot as Michigan and Miami tumble, and VT jumps ahead.
TCU Horned Frogs There is nothing to say about TCU, up a spot as two ahead fall and VT jumps in.
West Virginia Mountaineers Was 22 last week, absolutely stomping Tennessee doesn't mean much these two, but it has to count for something in my book.
LSU Tigers Was previously 25.  Can't tell how much of the win was LSU being good vs Miami being bad.  One thing is certain Joe Burrow can't throw for shit.  Great game manager as cliche as that is, but 11 for 24 with only 5.8 yards per attempt is really bad.  LSU will need to see him develop to be a real threat in the SEC.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Not much to say about them as their week 1 was against Missouri State.  Dropping one spot from last week as others rise, but I still have confidence in them.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Was 20, but many ahead of them fell while others passed them.
Michigan Wolverines Michigan continues to be unable to win on the road.
Boise State Broncos 36 point win over Troy.  Troy was pretty damn good last year, I'm taking it as a solid win.  Unfortunately too many better wins for them to move up.
UCF Knights Left them off last week, but the performance makes it appear that they won't lose a step in a post Frost world.
Nebraska Cornhuskers Had them at 24 last week, Miami, FSU, and Texas dropping out moves the idle team up even as others pass them.
Northwestern Wildcats Beating Purdue is no longer a given.  Purdue is a strong win moving a border team into the top 25 for me.
Texas A&M Aggies It is hard to doubt Jimbo Fisher.  Texas A&M opened with a cupcake, but others falling pulls them into the top 25.
