frumious88 2 Ohio State was already recruiting at a high level but stepped it up even further these last two years especially in 2018 to be the first team in this cycle to have a composite class higher ranked than Alabama. This team is completely full of talent, now it is up to Ryan Day to see if he can coach/develop into a championship team.

DarkLegend64 3 I've been trying to go into this season without any expectations for OSU but while making this ballot, there is still no other B1G team that I have more confidence to be a playoff team than OSU. The passing game will probably take a step back from last year but the rushing game and defense should be improved to make up for it.

Ticklebump 3 I have tOSU in my 3 spot, but consider 3-8 to be more of a group. Any of them have a shot at contending and winning a title, but it isn't crystal clear who will come out on top. In terms of threats throughout the season, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Michigan are what come to mind. It feels like the Big 10 is usually decided when the weather is cold and ground and pound football shines.Out of the group of tOSU, Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin,- Wisconsin returns the most production at about 73%.tOSU and Michigan both return about 63% but in inverse ways. tOSU returns 42% of their offensive production (good for 117 in the nation) and Michigan returns 50% of their defensive production (good for 106 in the nation)Penn State has the most production to find with only 56% of their production returning.

TheJeemTeam 4 1/1 in Tier B: I feel like my computer is overrating them. They still have a great shot of winning the Big 10 and making the playoff, but if I was doing a completely human poll, i'd probably put them in the 5-10 range.

iliketoupvotepuns 5 Will Urban Meyer's retirement result in a big drop off, or a minimal one? Will Field's be able to lead what was an elite offense a year ago to another Big 10 Championship? Can Ohio State successfully navigate their brutal divisional schedule? Can the porous defense from last year improve from a year ago? While there are many questions going into this year for THE Ohio State University, history tells us we shouldn't bet against them. I expect a neck and neck race for the Big 10 title with Ohio State and Michigan's rivalry game once again deciding what could be the eventual Big 10 champion.

tmothy07 5 A new head coach, a new QB, a new defensive staff. The ceiling is high, but lots of unknowns, could fall or rise. We'll find out a lot in the first game against the Lane Train. A few are looking forward to the game 5 Nebraska match-up as Ohio State's first real test, but I think Luke Fickell's Cincinnati will be. Fickell will have UC charged up and ready to try to hand the Buckeyes their first lost to an Ohio opponent since 1921.

crimsonlaw 6 Ohio State is breaking in a new coach, a new QB, and trying to improve an underachieving defense from 2018. But they are still damn talented. Their season will likely be decided when they visit Ann Arbor on Nov 30 to defend their current winning streak against arch-rival Michigan.
darkra01 6 I think they still have enough talent stock piled to coast through the season.

steelcitygator 6 Much like Oklahoma and Alabama, Ohio State is here because how do I trust Michigan to break the streak if they couldn't do it last year.  I actually think OSU could take a step back this year but I need Michigan to prove it first.
tdeff19 6
tjstanley 6 Lot of unknowns for OSU, but too much talent to be lower than 6. We will see how well Fields can hand the ball off this year.
Wurst_Law 6

BigBoutros 7 Schrodinger's juggernaut. Ryan Day is an untested rookie in over his head yet also the true power behind the throne of last year's 12-1 B1G champion. Justin Fields can't beat out Gunnar Hoak yet also is a Heisman favorite. There is a massive range of possible outcomes for this OSU team. History suggests they will fall somewhere in the "undisputed success" range.

ya111101 7 Record: 11-1. I expect Justin Fields to be very good and for Ryan Day to look good as a first year coach. Ohio State's only loss comes to rival Michigan in Ann Arbor to end the season. Bowl Projection: Rose Bowl
