ya111101 6 Record: 12-1. Another 1 loss P5 champion, but the lack of overall strength in the Pac-12 and Michigan and Oklahoma's more impressive wins leave Washington out. Their only loss comes on the road to Stanford.Bowl Projection: Rose Bowl
Harmbert_ 7 I just want Wazzu to win the apple cup this year
iliketoupvotepuns 7 Chris Petersen is a top 5 head coach with a team that is arguably the most talented in the conference. Good coaching and superior talent means that if Washington can avoid a late night PAC 10 upset, and beat equally talented Oregon at home, they could return to the playoff. Even if they can't do that, it's hard not to see the Huskies in a top tier bowl game at the end of the season.

Ticklebump 9 Washington needs to have Oregon circled on every calendar they have. Outside of that, maybe Utah and Washington State challenge but the Huskies seem to be in the driver's seat out west.

frumious88 11 Washington' has very similar story to Penn St. They have out performed their composite ranking (23rd overall next to South Carolina and Michigan St, 4th best class in the Pac12). and have also slowly  been improving their overall recruiting (29th, 24th, 24th, 20th), I think Chris Petersen is an elite coach at talent development and coaching, if he can continue this trajectory, a championship season is not out of the question.

steelcitygator 11 Peterson has a well oiled machine and despite all this Oregon talk running around I think Washington has the best chance at beating out Utah for the Pac-12 title.

crimsonlaw 15 Washington and Oregon are neck-and-neck in the Pac-12 North. People smarter than me will note Washington has a very favorable schedule, with USC, Utah, Washington State, and Oregon all coming to Seattle. The Huskies boast a fantastic offensive line and a great defense. This will be a very good team that may be slightly underrated here and very well could win their division.
