ya111101 3 Record: 12-1. This is a B1G or bust year for Michigan. If Harbaugh can't beat OSU now, I don't think it will ever happen. I believe it does happen this year. Michigan's only loss comes to Penn State in Happy Valley.Bowl Projection: Fiesta Bowl

crimsonlaw 5 Okay, Michigan has to get over the hump this year, right? It's been about 34 years since they last beat Ohio State (I'm not looking up the actual number, but it feels like most of my life). But they get a rebuildingish Ohio State at home. This has to be the year they get a conference championship... right?

iliketoupvotepuns 6 Michigan in pretty much every game this year, and for good reason. There is reason to believe they will improve on offense, and it's unwise to think a Don Brown defense will be anything less than very good. If Harbaugh and Michigan can get the Ohio State rivalry monkey off their back(DRINK) and dominate the rest of the Big 10 as they did last year, they will find themselves in the playoff. But that's not an easy task when your chief rival is at least as talented as you are, and then seemingly every other game views you as a rival and circles your game on the calendar.

BigBoutros 8 Shea Patterson is a natural fit with Josh Gattis, as are Michigan's monster wide receivers. Don Brown has taken lesser rosters to the top ten on defense, but at least one game looms large in recent memory as a disastrous capitulation. If he can truly fix those 19 minutes that have kept him up at night then both sides of the ball should contribute to a B1G and playoff contender.

crownebeach 8 Some big red flags: first-time OC, massive defensive roster turnover.

frumious88 8 Michigan's overall composition puts them 7th on the list so combined with their record, they are about where we might expect them to be. For them to reach the next level, the coaching/talent development will need to increase.

Jakesnake42 8 Michigan looks to be talented again this year but can they beat Ohio State. If there is a year to do it this would be the year but it is difficult to trust Michigan with that task.

nejaahalcyon 8 I have my doubts about Michigan in big games. They have the roster, but just can't seem to win the big games (see last year's The Game)

Ticklebump 8 My big question for the Blue is defense. As cited in my OSU rationale, they have a lot of gaps to fill on defense. They will not have long to figure out who has the chops as their third game of the season brings in a serious Wisconsin team. Iowa, Penn State, Notre Dame, and OSU punctuate the end of the schedule for Michigan's drudge through November. I also want to put Michigan on notice with Army. While Michigan is a heavy favorite, the Knights are always a little scary if they can dictate the pace of the game.

steelcitygator 9 See my Ohio State reasoning for why they are lower but I expect Michigan to step up assuming Harbough doesn't try to step on the new offensive plans when it matters most.  The defense will be nasty again and the other side needs to be just slightly better.  Serious title contender.
T-Thugs 9 Should win a lot of games. Harbaugh hasn't really shown the ability to beat playoff caliber teams though.
