Charlemagne42 5 A season full of "almost". They'll *almost* beat Ohio State. They'll *almost* make the conference title game. They'll *almost* sneak into the playoffs after questions about UNC's strength of schedule and performance against it. But in the end, it'll be a consolation NY6 bowl which the Wolverines will *almost* lose.

DarkLegend64 5 I don't necessarily think Michigan will be as good this year as they were last year but they could still go 11-1. OSU is the only singular game I'm predicting them to lose but there is always the chance they could get Kinnick'd.

bretticus33 6 Harbaugh finally seems to have Michigan in a good place after being on the hot seat entering last season, and the offense should still be strong this season without Josh Gattis. However replacing Hutchinson and Ojabo and the pass rush production they provided will be key to the season.

MrTheSpork 6 Great season until the UGA buzzsaw; decent returning production; moderately lucky; lost DC; excellent recruiting. Overall fewer questions than the below, but losses to coaching staff and personnel will hurt.
owl_man 6 Jim Harbaugh finally got past Ohio State, not sure if he can do it again this year. But I'll be damned if I'm not intrigued to see if he can do it again.
peachios 6 we'll see if the so called coach maybe leaving doesn't cause issues (it always appens so idk)

eclectic_tastes 7 With the loss of Hutchinson, Ojabo, and Mike MacDonald, I think this won't be as punishing as the 2021 defense was at times last season. There is still room for optimism on that side of the ball, but I am not expecting to see the next 2021 Georgia. Their offense, as well, will be capable, but I need to see more from the QBs before I could see it being truly elite. For once, my tendency isn't to overestimate the team up north this season. Ultimately, I think they will have a good offense and defense this season, but neither will be top 5 in the country.

SpadeRyker 7 Michigan is coming off of a banner year where Harbaugh has finally overcome OSU. Last year was maybe Harbaugh's masterpiece, taking a team that wasn't even ranked heading into the season all the way to the playoffs. They lose some heavy hitters on that vaunted defense from last year, but the offense should be elite. The question is whether that offense can keep pace with the likes of OSU this time out without the defense that slowed them down a season ago.

RheagarTargaryen 8 Finished 3rd in the country last year, but I could see them falling off with having lost a lot of players on the defensive side of the ball. They still have Corum and McNamara, so the offense shouldn’t be too much different. If the defense reloads, then Michigan will be in position for another playoff appearance if they beat OSU. If the defense takes a large step back, then they could be looking at a 8-4 season.

dusklord1 5 Despite losing both coordinates and nearly losing their coach, Michigan is still number 5, which says more about the other teams surrounding them than anything. Their offense will be very good, and the defense should still be solid, in spite of losing two first round edge rushers. They have as pillow soft a schedule as a team in the Big 10 East can ask for, with no P5 non-conference games, no Wisconsin, and both Michigan State and Penn State at home. By Vegas spreads, they should be 11-0 heading into The Game. However, I would be very surprised if they don't drop at least one game somewhere. MSU and PSU are still very good Iowa has Kinnick voodoo and a monster defense, and last year's team nearly lost to Nebraska, Rutgers, and Penn State meaning a random upset isn't out of the question.

donald_flap 6 Michigan has a lot to build on from last year. They were one of the biggest underdogs last year, and they proved everyone wrong by making it to the playoffs, only losing to eventual champion Georgia. I think Michigan will do very well, and be a possible B10 contender.
