bretticus33 4 Michigan had their first real test after a Charmin soft OOC schedule and they barely passed it. If not for Blake Corum’s career day, Michigan could very well have lost to Maryland. Michigan will have to improve from this game if they want to make a run at a repeat Big 10 title.

nw____ 4 Shaky at times. Wondering if the pass defense will be tested when they face a team that can block up front better than Maryland. Luckily for them, that won't happen against Iowa. I left the Maryland game with a few questions, though.

PumpSmash 4 Hey, Michigan has an easy schedule to start out with and they're taking care of it like they should. Sometimes that's just how schedules shake up. Can't fault the team itself for it. They might've struggled against Maryland, but Maryland was firing on all cylinders and the year is still young. 4-0 is 4-0.

crownebeach 7 Like USC, Michigan struggled against a pretty good team that I have on the fringes of the top 25; unlike USC, Michigan led the majority of the game and outgained their opponent decisively. Maryland was getting looks it liked in the passing game, and that should concern the Wolverines quite a bit.

Meany_Vizzini 8 20.1, +1.1, +1. A small improvement due to a strength of schedule boost.
RobertNeyland 8
ThePelvicWoo 8 Surprised they are this low in the model. The model respects Maryland so that was a good win, but their OOC schedule is weighing them down.

D1N2Y 5 Allowed Maryland to stay in the game at home, needs to be tested against even more quality opponents for a more accurate ranking
Dawg-Bite 5 Michigan hasn’t played any quality opponents. Maryland is decent and might be a borderline top 25 team, but Michigan just didn’t look impressive to me. Even then, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for this week.
Devintheroaster 5 836.67 points
drneilpretenamen 5
dusklord1 5 Satisfactory but unremarkable performance vs. a solid Maryland team that will probably end up 4th in the east (not better than that though; entirely unconvinced they can actually take down OSU or PSU). Defense looked a little shaky and the downfield passing threat wasn't really there

Due_Connection179 8 Michigan's first "test" of the season came vs Maryland this past week, and it was a very good game. I've been very critical of Michigan's OOC schedule being the weakest in the FBS (teams combined records are 2-14 & 0-14 vs FBS teams), so honestly not surprised that Michigan didn't look ready for Maryland. Hopefully this is a "knocking the rust off" game instead of something more because Penn State & Tennessee are looking good to jump them.
