jthomas694 1 Michigan is and should be the top team in the CFP. Allegations are what they are and perhaps they'll one day be punished for them, but that shouldn't be a factor at this point. Right now they are the top team in efficiencies per FPI and SP+, they have the number two strength of record and top game control. The top scoring defense and fourth in yards per play given up. Washington is the only team in the CFP with a better scoring offense. They have the strongest resume and pass the eye test.

nw____ 2 Undefeated. Two great wins over Ohio State and Penn State. A good win over Iowa. Outside of that, though, the resume is pretty light. That said, they would be my pick to win it all if my top four teams make the playoff.

_TGT7 1 13-0, and two top 10 wins should get Michigan in the #1 spot. I’ve considered Michigan the #1 team for most of the season, but games such as the Maryland game show that they aren’t completely invincible. Michigan hasn’t been particularly close to losing any games, and are the only undefeated P5 to say so, great season, but they’ll probably be sanctioned at some point. Michigan is one of two teams I believe that has 100 percent without a doubt clinched a playoff spot.

hurricaneatx 1 (13-0) - [PLAYOFF] After plastering Iowa as pretty much everyone expected, Michigan added another game to its list of methodical stifling victories (which pretty much included every game outside of Maryland and Ohio State). It's a close comparison between Michigan and Washington at the very top of my ranking, though I give Michigan a slight edge based on how convincing their wins have been. Quality wins: UNLV, @Penn State, Ohio State, Iowa

CriterionCrypt 2 Michigan will not get rewarded with the #1 spot in my book. They might be the #1 team in the country, and I know the sign-stealing scandal probably didn't result in to too much of an on-the-field advantage. But they still cheated, and their HC got suspended for it. So they will be placed at #2 for me.
