Overall Rationale: My computer ballot attempts to predict how the CFP committee will make their selections. It starts as a strict power ranking and over the course of the season, it weights resume more heavily. If you want to exclude James Madison because they aren't eligible for the CFP, then Clemson slides in at the bottom as they are 26. Ugh... I really don't like that my model came out with Alabama over Texas. I think in a fair system that is what should happen. My model does not look at head to head when evaluating resume. All it sees is that Texas lost to the number 9 power ranked team and Alabama lost to the number 5 power ranked team. So Alabama's loss is better. Alabama's best win is Georgia (power ranked 3) and Texas's best win is Alabama (power ranked 7). Texas is power rated above Alabama but Texas's resume is just slightly worse.
