nw____ 10 I think the #8-12 section is tougher to rank than the top 6. OU has one of, if not *the* best win of the season over Texas. Outside of that, there aren't many to write home about. SMU? ... Iowa State? OU is above Penn State because I'd say OU's home win over WVU (59-20) is more impressive than Penn State's home win over WVU (38-15).
OKgolfer 10 Last week: #10. Teams here and below didn't see much movement from last week, since most were idle. Second ranked 2 loss team but has an argument to be top ranked, having arguably the best win in the country (Texas has a slightly worse win by ranking but did it on the road).

CriterionCrypt 10 Oklahoma saw a bit of a jump in my final ranking which is a bit weird considering they didn't play this weekend. But the reason for the jump is because of how well Texas and SMU played. There are a glut of 2 loss teams, but Oklahoma beat the Big XII champ and the AAC champ. No other 2 loss P5 team has a victory over any conference champion and Oklahoma has two. That has to count for something.

hurricaneatx 10 (10-2) - Oklahoma notched one of the best wins of any FBS team this season (and straight-up best if we're just looking at rankings) with their rivalry win over Texas in Dallas. Unfortunately for the Sooners, that game seemed to take the wind out of their sails, segueing into a very close shave against UCF and losses against Kansas and Oklahoma State. Oklahoma has the best win among its 2-loss non-title game brethren, but also has the worst losses. Quality wins: SMU, Texas, West Virginia

_TGT7 12 While the final ranking falls into expectations, I think Oklahoma blew a easy bath to the playoffs, all they had to do was get past Kansas and Oklahoma State, who aren’t bad teams, but are teams you should beat if you are Oklahoma, vast improvement from last season though, and Oklahoma should be a playoff contender for years to come.
