Mythic514 9 I went back on forth on OU vs. UGA at number 9. Ultimately, I think leading early to a good Houston team, but ultimately falling does not mean OU should fall out of the top ten completely, and beating up on a team with a terrible run defense is great, but I right now I value OU's loss to a team I have in the top 5 more than UGA's beating a team that was in the 20s.

MrTheSpork 10 Oklahoma's a good team, regardless of losses, and Mayfield's going to light up any team they face - he was arguably the better QB in the Houston game, but the team came up short. There's nobody below Oklahoma that I reasonably can move up so #10 they are.

G-manP 12 I'm still in shock. Oklahoma will have plenty of competition this year. They need to tighten things up in a hurry as they will face the Buckeyes, Longhorns, and Horned Frogs in consecutive weeks.

monkeymatt1836 12 Disappointing start to the season for the Sooner faithful. The Sooner started off in control of the game against Houston and were only down by 2 going into halftime. However, Houston took control in the second half and put the Sooners away, despite a late effort to tie the game up. Baker Mayfield actually had a nice day, going 24/33 for 323 yards and 2 TDs. Oklahoma couldn't get the run game going. Dual headed monster Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine only had 12 combined carries for 71 yards and 1 TD. The Sooners definitely didn't look bad in their loss to the Cougars, but they did not look like they will be challenging for a spot in the CFP this week. The Sooners have Ohio State in 2 weeks, and the outcome of that game could determine the course of their season.

Marvolo_Mescudi 13 Lost, but didn't do terribly against a potential top five Houston team. Played kind of sloppy in a way that came across as rust, giving the benefit of the doubt that they vastly improve. SUPER thin ice next week, not just in if they win, but how they win.

CockADoodleBOOM 14 I think OU will get shat on in the polls this week, but I don't think they were THAT bad against Houston. I'm not super confident that OU can beat Ohio State in two weeks, but that's also why I have them 9 spots lower. I still think OU can beat all the teams below them on the list, so here's where I have them.

kdcoltred 15 Losing on the road at Houston is not as huge of an upset as it's made out to be. While the result is somewhat surprising, the game being competitive wasn't. People have forgotten the losses on defense for the Sooners. That being said, don't write them off to re-rack by knocking off Ohio State in two weeks. OSU may be a better version of Houston, but never underestimate the advantage an early season home game provides.
Khavanon 15
mickeyquicknumbers 15 I think every question we had about Oklahoma coming into this season:- can the offensive line survive the turnover?- can the defense survive the loss of so many playmakers?- can the receivers step up to fill in the holes from graduation/draft departures? All looked like a resounding "no" this week.

swanky-k 17 Hmm, Oklahoma upset by a team from Texas at a neutral site in Texas? Sounds like a recipe for the Sooners to overcome the loss and make the CFP.  The rest of their season is reeeeally interesting now.

atchemey 18 They were outclassed in every way by Houston. In a vacuum, they drop out of the 25, but you can't deny their talent. Unless they lose to OSU in a couple weeks, this is their low-water mark.
