Bill3ffinMurray 1 I think Oklahoma is the best team in the country right now. A 15 point win in Columbus is the best win by any team in this young season.

soonerfreak 1 I'll offer my reason for this spot. I think the win in Columbus is the best win in the country right now. All the questions about OU on both sides of the ball have been answered and this team is rolling. As for the rest of my top four they are in order of how I value their wins.
stripes361 1 Oklahoma's defense is not quite at the level of Alabama's yet, but it also wasn't a liability against Ohio State. In fact, it was a strength, as it shut down JT Barrett all night. That, combined with a significantly better passing attack than the Crimson Tide, is enough to make Oklahoma the best team in the country headed into Week 3. The Sooners also have the best resume in the country. #1 on all accounts. On a related note, I've hyped Baker Mayfield as my Heisman favorite in all three of my polls now, and he is one of the two early frontrunners along with the sensational Lamar Jackson.

WhiteBaseCoat 1 I've got Oklahoma at 1. Yup. Fight me. I do have an actual rationale though, more than just "I don't want to put Bama at 1" like in my preseason poll. See, Oklahoma beat Ohio State on Ohio State's home field, which is an awesome win in and of itself, but there's a nice little chain here where Ohio State also has a good win over Indiana, who I think is going to be pretty solid this year. Indiana has another win over Virginia, who I think is going to be better than people might expect (if not necessarily good). Again, I'm trying really hard to look solely at the wins, and this is one of the few scenarios where I can actually look at wins that the losing teams have collected to boost up the winning teams. Of course, I'm already saying "I think so and so will be good/better than expected," which is why this whole thing is kind of futile at the moment, but it's an interesting thought experiment nonetheless.

GiovanniElliston 2 HUGE win over Ohio State.  I'm sure a lot of people will have them jumping to #1 and I can certainly see why.  But for me, I still think Alabama would beat them.Better resume they Alabama - but in my polls I try to ignore resumes and focus on who I think the best teams in the country are.
goblue10 2 got damn.
gohuskies 2 Thought about being cheeky and putting them at #1, because a win @ OSU is prob better than neutral site Florida State. But I trust Alabama more.

jmac_21 2 OU jumps to #2 for me this week. The way they handled that Buckeye environment and pretty much dominated the game on the road made this an easy decision. Baker put up almost 400 yards in the air.

noahthearc 2 With a win in Columbus, Oklahoma has thrown their name at the top of the list to contend against the likes of Alabama, Clemson, and company for the national title. It's a tough road ahead, but Oklahoma seems as good as fan's would have hoped.

xelphin 3 Absolutely embarrassed Ohio State in Columbus. The game wasn't a blowout, but anyone who thinks OU isn't legit needs to seriously check themselves. Baker Mayfield was an absolute dead shot all game, and any team should fear OU's passing game.
