Khavanon Ballot for 2017 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 10, 2017, 11:59 a.m.

Overall Rationale: My computer poll will probably be out around week 6. A lot of postponed games due to the hurricane featuring four ranked teams make this week sort of dull outside the Top-10. Nobody outside the Top-25 really had a signature win to justify putting them into the rankings.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide (0) 41-10 over Fresno State.
Oklahoma Sooners (+1) 31-16 road win over previously ranked #2 Ohio State.
Clemson Tigers (+3) 14-6 over previously ranked #14 Auburn.
USC Trojans (+4) 42-24 over previously ranked #7 Stanford.
Penn State Nittany Lions (-1) 33-14 over Pittsburgh. Two teams jumped over them for having big wins. One dropped below them.
Florida State Seminoles (-1) Game postponed. Same reasoning as Penn State.
Ohio State Buckeyes (-5) 31-16 loss at home to previously ranked #3 Oklahoma.
Michigan Wolverines (+1) 36-14 over Cincinnati.
Washington Huskies (+1) 63-7 over Montana.
Wisconsin Badgers (+1) 31-14 over FAU.
Oklahoma State Cowboys (+1) 44-7 over South Alabama.
LSU Tigers (+1) 45-10 over Chattanooga.
Stanford Cardinal (-6) 42-24 loss to previously ranked #8 USC.
Georgia Bulldogs (+1) 20-19 over Notre Dame.
Auburn Tigers (-1) 14-6 loss to previously ranked #6 Clemson. Might have dropped further, but this to me is the bottom of this tier of teams.
Virginia Tech Hokies (0) 27-0 over Delaware.
Colorado Buffaloes (0) 37-3 over Texas State.
Tennessee Volunteers (0) 42-7 over Indiana State.
Florida Gators (0) Game postponed.
Louisville Cardinals (0) 47-35 over North Carolina.
USF Bulls (0) Game postponed.
Miami Hurricanes (+1) Game postponed.
Kansas State Wildcats (+1) 55-7 over Charlotte.
Washington State Cougars (+1) 47-44 triple overtime win over Boise State.
Kentucky Wildcats (-3) 27-16 win over Eastern Kentucky. First two wins are anything but impressive. Fortunately for them nobody below them had major win this week, but they are in danger of dropping out.
