stripes361 8 The defense has been unimpressive (albeit against two very solid offenses) but the dynamic offense has been as good as any in the country (albeit against two porous defenses). The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, where a not-quite-elite offense will combine with a good defense to finish near the top of the ACC. Lamar Jackson, meanwhile, is off to a stellar start in his Heisman defense. With just 7 more passing yards against UNC, the Louisville offense would have broken both the 400 passing yard barrier and the 300 rushing yard barrier in the same game. How many times has that ever happened in major college football? Unfortunately, he will need to maintain that pace over the entire course of the season to have any shot at a Heisman repeat, as I fear the voters are quite reluctant to give any player a second trophy. He'll get a major boost this Saturday, though, when his Cardinals team knocks off Clemson at home.

Ticklebump 10 Lamar is going to do it himself if he needs to. Scored in fucking bunches this week and I think they can go toe to toe with most anyone in the country.

Bill3ffinMurray 12 Louisville has two good wins over relatively quality teams in North Carolina and Purdue. Up next is a hopefully thrilling rematch with the Tigers. Lamar Jackson looks just as good, if not better than last season.

Cobainism 12 Lamar Jackson will play the biggest game of his career this Saturday night vs Clemson. I've been really impressed by his clear progress as a passer, as he's a lot more patient in the pocket before he decides to take off with his legs

T-Thugs 14 Louisville beat UNC in week 2. This win would have counted for more to me if they hadn't also been defeated by Cal. Purdue looks like a better win than I thought, though after they whooped up on Ohio.

gohuskies 17 I still feel like I know nothing about Louisville. Their defense did not look dominant like last year's against UNC last week. Or against Purdue week 1 either. But Lamar Jackson. Could see them blowing Clemson out, or vice versa.

noahthearc 17 The Cardinals handled themselves in Chapel Hill, but still seem unimpressive doing so. Wins over Purdue and North Carolina aren't bad, but the path to the victories are not gaining the Cardinals any bandwagon fans.

xelphin 17 Great game against UNC, and seemed to really turn it on and pull away in the 4th quarter. The garbage time TD by UNC masks how well Louisville turned the game in their favor.

CarbonCamaroZL1 24 +1 spot (previously 25). 2-0. I still feel that Louisville is overrated. They only have an athletic Lamar Jackson and nothing else. The defense failed to show against North Carolina. Why they are ranked so high in AP, I don't really know. If Clemson can put up a lot of points against them and uses their tight defense to shut down Louisville, then maybe AP will understand. Or I will get shown up and they will be competitive. Who knows?
