Overall Rationale: My poll is a computer poll that I have been running for several years. It is loosely based of the Ohio highschool football rankings (you can view hereBasically, it treats all FBS teams as equal at the start of the season. Teams get points for beating teams and get secondary points for how their opponents do against other teams. For example, Alabama beating Florida St in Week 1 is not worth very many points at the beginning of the season but if Florida St continues to win, Alabama gains more and more points every week from that victory as the system starts to recognize it as a quality win only if Florida St proves to be a quality win over the course of the season.

Colorado still holds onto the top spot, one of the main reasons is they get a slight bump from beating a team who had a victory in Week '0'. Over the course of the season, this advantage is going to disappear over the course of the season |
