BunnySelfDestruct Ballot for 2017 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 10, 2017, 3:19 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Bucket 1 - Playoff Insiders [1-5] - 2-0, Favorites to win their conference.Bucket 2 - Championship Game Favorites [6-10] - 2-0, Favorites to win their division, but not likely to knock off the teams above. If they do, they may steal a playoff spot. Bucket 3 - (Undefeated and 1 Loss) Championship Game Contenders [11-30]- 2-0, Could knock off any of the teams above to steal a championship game spot.Bucket 5 - The Undefeated P5s [31-42] - The P5s have really distinguished themselves from the G5s this year. There's no reason to believe these teams won't do something to prove they're worthy of Bucket 3 over the next few weeks.Bucket 6 - The Undefeated G5s [43-56] - They're still undefeated, that's something.Bucket 7 - Everybody Else [57-128] - Show me something, anything, I really want to make this work, but right now, there are just too many good teams to put too much time in ranking these teams.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide As the SEC west continues to implode, this might just be a 3 game schedule. They get a bye week before 2 of the 3. I will not apologize to Mercer. You can't make me.
Oklahoma Sooners Honestly, I wouldn't feel bad putting Oklahoma State here, but you've dispatched one OSU, good luck with the other.
Clemson Tigers This weekend will put us much further on the road to knowing who's in control in the ACC.
Penn State Nittany Lions Probably the class of the B1G, but the B1G East is a very chaotic place. No guarantees they don't drop 2 conference games.
Washington Huskies Reigning Pac 12 champs until something says I should drop them.
USC Trojans Western Michigan was just dispatched by Sparty... the Stanford win looked good, but the coin toss between USC and Washington came up Huskies.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Bedlam is going to mean a lot.
Georgia Bulldogs Thank you for helping me keep ND out of my rankings. Still my favorites in the SEC East.
Virginia Tech Hokies Biggest early season win in the Coastal, but won't be tested again until Clemson, at best to get it out of the way early?
Wisconsin Badgers The numbers look good, but the B1G West might be open to a 3 loss team.
LSU Tigers SEC West means you're on the outside looking in until Bama loses.
Kansas State Wildcats Same as LSU, except the entire state of Oklahoma.
TCU Horned Frogs It must feel great to be a Horned Frog right now. Baylor's on fire, Texas is struggling, and you just won a true road game against a middling SEC school.
Louisville Cardinals That Purdue win might actually mean something come November.
Colorado Buffaloes They're either going to beat Washington and jump up, or lose and fall down. This is what happens when you play a very light non-con schedule.
Oregon Ducks That's a lot of points to hang on a team after a very disrupted week. Could certainly create some chaos in the Pac 12 North.
Miami Hurricanes I've got no reason to move Miami one way or another, may nature sort itself out so we can see some football in Florida again. Stay safe everyone.
Michigan Wolverines The defense is coming together. The offense, who knows?
Auburn Tigers All the Clemson game showed me is that their defense could ruin LSUs/Alabama's day...
Florida State Seminoles A loss to the likely #1 playoff seed can only drop you so far once other teams start losing. Certainly going to be wait and see with the new Quarterback situation.
West Virginia Mountaineers VT is a talented team, just keep winning.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets The system is working. The system is going to ruin someone's day in the ACC.
Ohio State Buckeyes That offense leaves something to be desired. Can't keep hanging that defense out to dry in the B1G East or they might lose to Maryland, forget Penn State...
Florida Gators Down quite a few players during the Michigan game, but losing to Michigan might not be the quality loss you were hoping for.
UCLA Bruins I honestly could put another 5 teams in this spot, but I'll put UCLA here because I think the Pac 12 is the most wide open of the P5.
