gohuskies Ballot for 2017 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 11, 2017, 6:42 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Some teams that also were considered:West Virginia - I know you looked good in the loss to VT but it'd be nice to see a win over a team with a pulse.Duke - almost squeezed you into the last spot.Florida - other teams passed you up.Utah - I'm sure the Utes will make me look dumb for leaving them out soon enough.Anyone but South Florida.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Duh
Oklahoma Sooners Thought about being cheeky and putting them at #1, because a win @ OSU is prob better than neutral site Florida State. But I trust Alabama more.
USC Trojans Didn't watch the game, but all accounts say USC was dominant over Stanford.
Clemson Tigers Dabo might be okay at coaching.
Penn State Nittany Lions I've seen a few PSU fans saying that they didn't look good beating Pitt by almost 3 TDs, and watching that game I really felt like Pitt was lucky to keep it that close.
Michigan Wolverines Week 1 looked good, week 2...eh...not so much. I have no idea how they are below UW in the AP Poll with an outstanding win over Florida.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Speaking of Pitt, let's see how you guys do on the road against a physical team. Fortunately for the Cowboys, yellow seats don't make much noise so the environment won't be too intimidating.
Washington Huskies Looked great. Dinged a bit because WTF Rutgers lost to EMU.
LSU Tigers All systems go for Eddie O.
Florida State Seminoles stay safe noles
Ohio State Buckeyes It's always weird figuring out where teams should drop to this early in the season when they lose to another *probably very good team. I don't know how they are above FSU in the AP poll - OSU lost at home to a lower ranked team, and while they beat Indiana week 1, did not look great doing it.
Georgia Bulldogs This feels really high for a team that just beat a 4-8 team last year by one point.
Wisconsin Badgers Watched a little bit of Wisconsin FAU - Wisconsin didn't look very dominant physically. Little bit nervous about them.
Virginia Tech Hokies good job hokies.
Stanford Cardinal Didn't watch them against USC, but looks like they got physically dominated which is incredibly un-Stanfordy.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Nothing to see here, LSU, just another game over an overmatched, unranked SEC West team. but seriously MSU is good.
Louisville Cardinals I still feel like I know nothing about Louisville. Their defense did not look dominant like last year's against UNC last week. Or against Purdue week 1 either. But Lamar Jackson. Could see them blowing Clemson out, or vice versa.
Auburn Tigers Defense awesome, offense not.
Kansas State Wildcats @Vandy isn't going to be a cakewalk
Washington State Cougars i'm still reeling from #pac12afterdark. If anyone reading this has not watched the BSU-WSU game from Saturday, skip to the start of the third quarter and settle in.
Miami Hurricanes i'm sure there's a hurricane nickname joke but i can't think of one
UCLA Bruins Texas A&M win looks crappier.
TCU Horned Frogs Arkansas - TCU was a very...entertaining game to watch. I'm running out of things to say about everyone.
Colorado Buffaloes A week late with this one.
South Carolina Gamecocks Two decent P5 wins!
