Ch-i-ef 3 Michael Pratt has overtaken Spencer Rattler for Heisman odds. Also where did OU's defense go?

Charlemagne42 4 Rattler was 30/39 against Tulane. Find me a QB who tops 75% completion on an average Saturday, and I'll find you a Heisman winner.

fourpinz8 4 Tulane fought hard. Defense is super worrisome for RRS when Bijan can carve up the ground and through the air, or Brock Purdy and Breece Hall doing damage

ninetimesoutaten 4 Tulane is good. Tulane is not "score 35 on a vaunted Top 10 defense" good. The breakdown on defense in the second half of what is supposedly a much improved group along with the inability of the offense to score in the second half is concerning. This game was in hand and Oklahoma almost let it slip.

owlalwaysloveyew 4 Oklahoma struggled against Tulane early, but showed up in the 2nd half. They should breeze through the next two weeks (Western Carolina and Nebraska) before getting into conference play.

RavenclawWiz816 4 Deciding between Clemson and Oklahoma was tough but I went with the Sooners at 4 because at least they managed to win, and at certain points throughout the game, you could see the national title contenders that Oklahoma was billed as come out. But if they are to be considered to be in that top tier, then that team should come out more often than just in the 2nd quarter. Spencer Rattler did not seem to comfortable and made 2 (should've been 3) big mistakes that put Tulane right in business. The defense was also disappointing, with frequent blown coverages and silly mistakes. Oklahoma still has an easy schedule, but as a Sooner fan, I'm far more afraid of the Iowa State and Texas games than I was preseason.

woakley 4 They were back and forth with Tulane, but i'm going to chalk that up to them taking their foot off the gas, plus it being an emotional game for Tulane. Their early struggles don't really change my opinion on them

jchall3 5 Bit of a fall here from No. 1 to No. 4 in my poll, but Oklahoma looked human against Tulane. Too early to tell now (Tulane may have a great season) but they still need to find their stride. Fully expect Oklahoma to start rolling soon.

HanSoIoque 7 Tulane shouldn't have been in that game. This is my least confident ranking. I think OU is much better than #7, if they put away Nebraska early and finish strong, I'll move them back up.

hypercube42342 8 Computer rank tied for 9 with Texas, broke tie based on recent history and moved up 1. Preseason expectation ranking was quite high, as well as recent history, but a close game vs a G5 opponent ranked as one of the worst wins on the day, among the top teams.

NyquillusDillwad20 12 Oklahoma's defense is awful again. Rattler looks mediocre. But they still have the players around him on offense that can win them games. It also helps to have a kicker who can nail 60 yarders.
steelcitygator 12 Oklahoma did not have to be this low and I suspect won't stay here long. I'm not high on Tulane which dropped them below Ole Miss and UCF but they are a better team and will shoot up the rankings as the season rolls on. Need to see the D look like the end of last year though for those lofty preseason plaudits to be realized.
