jchall3 1 Oklahoma returns a trove of talent and Spencer Rattler is primed to be the next big Oklahoma superstar QB under Riley. OU gets the nod from me for preseason No. 1 due to the "move in ready" status of the team.

Charlemagne42 2 Lincoln's diary, December 30, 2021: "They say that if you fail at something 4 times, you only succeed if you try again a 5th time. That's why my game plan for tomorrow is to implement a 5th down. My offenses excel at the unexpected, and at forcing defenses into situations they don't have an answer for. This bold innovation in the offensive space should take even the referees by surprise. I fully expect to take advantage of their complete shock, and immediately score a touchdown. It will be a bittersweet moment for me. On the one hand, I will be proud to watch the results of my paradigmatic insight unfold. On the other, like with every rule-bending play I draw up, I know that the moment I put it on tape for the rest of college football to copy is the moment it ceases to be wholly mine. Diary, have you ever felt grief for a sketch scribbled on a whiteboard in less time than it takes Eric Gray to run from end zone to end zone? It's the kind of pain I can share only with you, my closest friend and most leak-proof confidant. Good night, diary - and Boomer Sooner."

NotSoSuperNerd 2 Easily the scariest team in the Big 12 for Lincoln Riley's whole tenure. They were questionable at the start of 2020, but they found their rhythm and look to build off their momentum this year.

steelcitygator 2 Finished the year as one of the best in the nation and returns a bunch.  Defense finally looked like it's put together and we all assume they will figure out the offensive side of the ball.  Is this the year they finally not just make the playoffs but win a game?

woakley 4 Oklahoma's season was really derailed by two close early season losses last year one to Iowa State (okay) and one to Kansas State (not okay). Oklahoma was able to avenge their loss to Iowa State, and they were in control for the rest of the season. Another top 10 recruiting class and one of the best returning QB's in the country lands Oklahoma up here.

crownebeach 5 A lot of upside. Spencer Rattler was fine last year. He wasn't as good as Oklahoma fans thought he was, but wasn't as bad as the critics argued from his shaky early-season play. The defense has grown in leaps and bounds, but their main weapons are line shifts and pressure disguises -- they are very good at coming and getting your quarterback, but if you can block their pressure, they don't hold up to being picked on downfield.
