KommanderKeen-a42 10 Hard to not respect a high in-conference record and tons of talent. I think Cley Helton will always be outmatched past #8-10 until he proves it, but talent with "good-enough" coaching means I will take USC vs teams 11-25 on this list.

fourpinz8 13 Insane to me that prior to 2020, Slovis had a stellar freshman year in 2019 at SC and wasn't considered for Heisman preseason. Either way, SC has a clear path to the Pac-12 championship and if they beat ND and go unbeaten, they're a playoff team

DarkLegend64 14 The Trojans quietly (and also barely) made it through the last year's regular season undefeated before losing in the Pac 12 Championship Game. They have the players to win a conference title but the coaching will probably hold them back.

crownebeach 16 USC always has talent, but they just haven't looked as muscular as they used to -- development is a serious problem. The upside is there, though; they improved at positions of need, and their coordinators are quite good. Texas fans thought they hated Todd Orlando, but what you have to understand is that between Charlie Strong's last class and Tom Herman's first class, hardly any of those guys were even still on the roster -- that was a young defense, and the few veterans they had were on the shelf hurt. Orlando is good at his job and they have good options to create pressure.

woakley 16 I can't say that I have a ton of faith in Clay Helton, but USC played well last year, and seemingly always have talent. The question will be can they put it together, but if they keep their form from the prior year they should have a strong year.

steelcitygator 25 Return a lot, especially offensive weapons.  Coaching staff remains a question but they were probably the best team when looking at the entirety of the Pac-12's sprint through the season last year.  That league is a bit tough to look at just because of that lack of data points.
