YellowSkarmory 5 USC handled Wazzu at home this week, which is a pretty solid win. That win, along with wins at Oregon State and vs... Rice? gives them three wins against 2-loss teams, which is pretty solid; none of those three are incredible or anything, but they are good wins (yes, I called Rice a good win, lol). A trip to Utah is an opportunity for another.

nw____ 7 They keep winning, but they're winning ugly. Wins are wins, though, so I am not going to be too hard on them. OU fans were upset with Riley despite a great record because they thought the team wasn't executing as well as it should've been and was relying too much on luck. I'm not yet sure whether A) it wasn't luck but excellent coaching to get a team that was less talented than we thought to a 10-win season and, now, Riley is coaching a team that we expected to be worse than it is to a better record than their talent might suggest; B) the issues OU fans had with Riley were (and are still) issues that USC is now dealing with that will eventually surface. Last season, OU was the embodiment of the "THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT" meme (at least until they promptly stopped getting away with it after getting slugged in the face by Baylor). Is USC that meme now? One thing that looks pretty sure right now? They'll have a good chance at winning every game left on their schedule. I have been impressed by the way that the offense and defense have, at different times, carried this team to a win. They play pretty complementary football. However, you might also say that-- rather than complementary football-- they're an inconsistent team. OU fans were also upset about the inconsistency last season. Sometimes, the defense looked legit while, other times, the offense looked legit, but they never seemed to be legit at the same time in the same game. I will be curious to see just how closely this USC team mirrors last year's OU team. Right now, they look really similar. And, right now, especially given how OU has played this year, that looks really impressive.

bretticus33 8 USC is playing about as well as could be hoped for in Lincoln Riley’s first season. The star power he brought in is obviously making a difference and USC remains the PAC-12 favorite. Utah, while slumping, should provide USC with their biggest test yet.

MWiatrak2077 9 I have to admit it: I have underrated USC for far too long. I really thought people were overrating USC purely based on Riley's recruits. After a radically high turnover margin, and a near-death experience in Corvallis, I thought I'd be proven right, - however, the Trojans keep proving me wrong in one critical aspect: they just keep winning. As USC found themselves down 14-10 to Washington State this last Saturday, I thought I'd finally be vindicated. Then USC won, - handedly, even. A 30-14 victory of the 3-1 Cougars in a key PAC-12 matchup proves that the USC of now is here to stay. Star RB Travis Dye shined the brightest among them, with 149 yards and a TD. Caleb Williams had another impressive outing with a 2 TD game, to now bring his total up to 17 TDs & 1 INT on the season. The Trojans defense forced no turnovers and held the Cougars in check, allowing just 14 points, and zero in the second half. It become ever more clear that these Trojans are on a war path, straight to the PAC-12 title game. Up next: A duel in the desert vs. #20 Utah, reeling off a loss to UCLA. If they can outlast the Utes at their place, USC should have nothing but smooth sailing all the way up to a week 11 matchup vs. UCLA.

Due_Connection179 6 Last week #6 won vs Washington State 30-14. First solid win of their PAC-12 conference schedule where it wasn't a nail-bitter at the end. We will see if it carries over to next week. Next week: at #17 Utah

Yelich04 6 -. They are good, I'd even say very good. However, they have not won a team I've thought of as very good. Washington State and Oregon State are pretty good teams (though as I'm typing this Oregon State is losing to Stanford, but USC beat them too so whatevs), and Arizona State are decent. Every USC game except for the Oregon State one they've never felt in danger. I'd be tempted to put them above Clemson, but their resume is just... ehh at the moment. So I can't justify putting them any higher unless they start demolishing squads like Ohio State is doing, or beating quite good teams.
