It's for sure a bad look, especially later in the season if USC is 10 - 1 or 11 - 1 and people are just looking at schedules to try and put teams apart from each other, but they got the job done today. Colorado was the first team they played with a pulse so far, and while USC dominated the early stages, their poor defensive showing in the second half made this game a little too close for comfort. Tougher games where the Trojans can prove themselves are coming soon, but I still question their defense against what has been one of the worst schedules of any Top 25 team. |

If Sean Lewis knew/had tried to run an effective 6-minute offense while down 2-scores then USC could have messed around and gone to OT with a team that doesn't have an offensive line (speaking of, how do you let Colorado run for 100+ yards on you?). I dunno, this is a Lincoln Riley team through and through. Pro: We're probably living in a world where Caleb Williams will be a multi-time Heisman winner, Con: this team is going to get dunked on by Oregon and Utah and then lose in a half-ass Cotton Bowl to Fresno State Preseason "right" rating: 4/10...expected more out of them, had them winning the Pac-12, but I don't really see it anymore |
