It felt like a long time coming for USC. The offense sputtered hard and the defense couldn’t step up when needed. Things only continue to stay tough for USC who is entering a danger zone.

They are who we thought they were. But we didn't let them off the hook. Surprised it was the offense that let them down rather than the defense--the final score hides that the defense was actually pretty good. It isn't going to get any easier, though.

Embarrassing performance but still have promise as long as Caleb is taking snaps and Lincoln is calling plays

-10, Caleb Williams plays like absolute trash, USC’s defense looks awful against a not good Notre Dame Offense, and USC falls flat in their first test of the season. I had USC much higher than most, assuming their offense would still be very good, but 7-5 for USC isn’t out of the picture if they look like this against good defensive teams. I think Williams will return to form after this, but he needs to perform for this team to be considered a Top 25 team.

It's one thing to have a bad defense, but when your entire team is your offense and you can't get that going, it's not good.

Caleb looked like a college quarterback again and tossed 3 interceptions in route to a blowout against them. A tough schedule leaves room for wins or more losses.

This team was never as good as their ranking implied with a Riley & Grinch defense. They will not stop at losing one game. The offense is superb, so they're still on this list - any team led by Caleb Williams should be - but defense wins championships, and USC doesn't have one.

That was really rough from the Trojans. The win against Arizona looks better, but the win over Colorado looks worse. ND had their way with USC pretty much all night and because USC doesn't have any marquee wins to fall back on, they take a huge tumble down 10 spots to #22. They've got to figure things out soon too, because their boogeyman comes to town next week.

These rankings are hit or miss when it comes to being right/wrong on a team....which duh, these aren't predictive in any way. But dang, were they on the money when it came to USC....AINT PLAYED NOBODY AND GOT SPANKED. They only stay here cause of Caleb tbh.
