jibberishdhyukl Ballot for 2022 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 10, 2022, 1:55 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Watching games, flipping between channels, watching highlights, checking stat lines

Rank Team Reason
Ohio State Buckeyes Buckeye's take the #1 spot, not so much on virtue of how good they looked the past two weeks, but because of how vulnerable Alabama and Georgia looked.
Alabama Crimson Tide Almost lost to a mediocre Texas A&M team at home, dropping them off the #1 spot.
Georgia Bulldogs Beating Auburn isn't enough to get them to jump Bama for me.
Clemson Tigers Clemson continues to be Clemson.
Tennessee Volunteers Embarrassed LSU in Baton Rouge. Are the Vols back?
Oklahoma State Cowboys Solid win against Texas Tech, but jumped by the Tennessee due to their demolition of LSU.
TCU Horned Frogs Beat a good Kansas Team. Could be higher, but Kansas was playing a backup QB most of the game.
Michigan Wolverines Jumped by TCU and the Vols, both of whom had better wins. Michigan's cupcake start to the season finally ends next week against the Nittany Lions.
Ole Miss Rebels Started slow against Vandy, jumped by TCU and the Vols, both of whom had better wins.
Penn State Nittany Lions Bye week, jumped by TCU.
UCLA Bruins Nice win against Utah is enough to jump them up the rankings.
USC Trojans USC continues to not impress, despite being 6-0. Utah will be their first real test against quality opposition.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons Destroyed Army, but got jumped by UCLA after they beat Utah.
Oregon Ducks Beat Arizona, but big game against UCLA coming up.
NC State Wolfpack Didn't look great against FSU, but top 25 matchup with Syracuse next week. We'll see which team is for real.
Kansas State Wildcats Ugly win against Iowa State. Showdown against TCU coming up.
Syracuse Orange Bye week, with three tough games in a row after.
Kansas Jayhawks Close loss to TCU with their backup QB playing most of the game. Did not deserve to drop.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Beatdown Arkansas. Will Rogers leads the SEC in passing yards. Mike Leach has his Air Raid offense rolling.
Illinois Fighting Illini Wasn't pretty, but it was a win. Will be interesting to see if they maintain their lead in the B1G West.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish The Marshall game is looking like more of a fluke. Dominated two good teams (BYU and UNC) even though the scoreboard didn't reflect it.
North Carolina Tar Heels 5-1 with loss to ND and a relatively easy schedule going forward. Will most likely be playing in the ACC Championship game this year.
Cincinnati Bearcats Continues to be the best G5 team. Thought there'd be more of a drop off after losing a ton of players to the draft, but the Bearcats have been really good.
James Madison Dukes Probably don't deserve to be ranked over Coastal Carolina, but I really like their Cinderella story.
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Grayson McCall is looking good. First three out: BYU, Baylor, Tulane
