bgr308 2 Kyler Murray is continuing right where Mayfield left off. He is leading one of the most explosive offenses in college football. Mike Stoop's defense is still the weakness of the team. Starting RB Rodney Anderson will be missed. The rest of the Big 12 is still behind OU, but there might be some shootouts down the road.

A-Stu-Ute 3 Also still terrifying after routing UCLA, but with Rodney Anderson being lost for the season and Marquise Brown potentially hurt all of a sudden things are more in flux.

TheFlyingBoat 3 Fuck the Sooners, OU still sucks, etc. Unfortunately they're a good team and Kyler Murray is damn good. Their defense is overrated by some of their fans though and will get beat in the Big XII. UCLA isn't a good team. Their offense will be sufficient to run through it though. Losing Rodney Anderson will hurt and hopefully Iowa St can be spooky again.

VerySeriousBanana 3 Oklahoma rolls again. Not much to say here. I had them #4 preseason, and I think that's fairly accurate.

Feral_Squirrel 4 My main concern with OU (and reason for ranking them lower initially) was the concern that a) Kyler Murray wouldn't produce and you can't reasonably expect anyone to replace Baker Mayfield and b) that Lincoln Riley was riding on the skirts of Bob Stoops and Baker Mayfield's success. In two weeks, they've looked every bit the part of another Big 12 championship team.

jmac_21 4 OU nearly dropped a spot for me. (They probably will drop a spot for many others) They just didn't look particularly explosive in the first half. I thought the defense was really good. All UCLA had was really 2 huge plays. The offense was really good on 3rd down, but Anderson getting hurt is going to sting more than a lot of people realize.

nickknx865 4 Oklahoma's got some really incredible athletes on their team and they're an absolute joy to watch play. One could feel the significant disparity in the quality of Oklahoma's side vs. UCLA.
PalmettoFace 4
PHubbs 4 The Sooners lost a Heisman winning QB and might somehow even be better. I think I even saw a defense - which should scare every other team. OU should keep on steamrolling their schedule until they face the Frogs in late October.

woakley 4 Oklahoma gets another win against a decent P5 opponent. Did look great the whole way against UCLA, but they still won convincingly. No drop here
Wurst_Law 4
YellowSkarmory 4 2 wins over FBS teams by a lot, 1 of those opponents was 1-1, the other was 0-2. They get into the top 5 because of that.
