JeromesNiece Ballot for 2018 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 10, 2018, 3:24 p.m.

Overall Rationale: These are who I consider to be the best teams in college football. My rankings are not strongly resume-based.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide
Georgia Bulldogs Convincing domination of SCar in Columbia earns UGA the right to jump Clemson
Clemson Tigers They may have struggled to put away a possibly-very-good Texas A&M in College Station, but I can't knock Clemson out of the top 3. I see no reason to believe they are not a playoff-level team again.
Ohio State Buckeyes OSU is playing like prototypical playoff-caliber OSU, even without Urban on the sidelines. I fully expect them to beat TCU by multiple touchdowns this week.
Oklahoma Sooners Loss of Rodney Anderson could prove significant, but until I see proof of it, OU is playing like the class of the Big 12 again
Wisconsin Badgers
Auburn Tigers
Washington Huskies
Virginia Tech Hokies
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Stanford Cardinal
Penn State Nittany Lions I'm very torn on PSU at the moment. Not completely sold on McSorely or their defense, but they certainly made a statement against Pitt in that second half.
Mississippi State Bulldogs
LSU Tigers
TCU Horned Frogs
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Boise State Broncos
Michigan Wolverines
Miami Hurricanes
UCF Knights
Texas A&M Aggies I ranked them 24th last week, and they certainly played well enough against Clemson to at least keep that rank
Michigan State Spartans Their resume is terrible as of today, but I gotta believe MSU is still a very talented and dangerous team. Struggling against a G5 team early and out west of the Rockies has not been a strong negative indicator for Sparty in the past.
West Virginia Mountaineers
USC Trojans
Oregon Ducks
