tdeff19 1 Clemson has the better win (A) over T A&M than Alabama's (H) win over Louisville. FCS wins cancel out.

dicky_________seamus 2 They played really well and benefited from some 50-50 calls. I think this game was more about how good A&M is and less about how 'undeserving' Clemson is of the #2 ranking.

Feral_Squirrel 2 A&M is no joke - I think by the end of the season the Tigers will be counting this as a signature win.

moistats_ 2 Clemson will need to make up this semi-ugly win at Texas A&M, and it will probably be much later on in the season. I say semi because I don't know if Fisher is going to be that good of a coach later on, but we'll see.

311polo 3 @ Texas A&M was a solid win and launched them up the polls.  I'm not conviced that it's better than Auburn over Washington or VaTech over Florida State.

bgr308 3 The Tigers survived a scare in College Station against Jimbo's Aggies Saturday night. The defense held them to only 26 points, but allowed 530 yards through the air and allowed A&M to pick up 25 first downs. The offense also could have played better, only picking up 14 first downs and going 4/14 on third downs. This team still has immense talent across the board, but might have some scares throughout the year. Still a favorite in the ACC.

JeromesNiece 3 They may have struggled to put away a possibly-very-good Texas A&M in College Station, but I can't knock Clemson out of the top 3. I see no reason to believe they are not a playoff-level team again.
jmac_21 3 Clemson dropped a spot for me. Kyle field is a really hard place to play, but they had many chances to pull away, and that secondary wasn't particularly sharp Saturday night.

stripes361 3 Making more of an effort this year to overcome my latent poll inertia, especially early in the season. A road win against a tough A&M team is a valuable piece of the Tigers' resume and may be underrated by quite a few people right now. However, I'm just not quite as sold on Clemson's QB play as I am on Hoskins for OSU right now, so I'm bumping Clemson down a spot. Still a definite playoff-caliber team though.

Xtremeloco 3
A-Stu-Ute 4 No change for now since Texas A&M looked pretty good in their quality loss, but letting the Aggies come back put them in a little bit of peril of falling out of the top 4.

CarbonCamaroZL1 4 Barely got past Texas A&M, who are a good team, but this probably shouldn't have been close like this for a Top 5 team. I will keep them here for now but they will need to be more convincing over the next couple of weeks.

nickknx865 5 Kellen Mond is a good quarterback, but nevertheless it should be slightly concerning that they gave up 416 yards through the air. Still, I think they'd win against any of the other teams behind them, so they're stuck here.
PHubbs 5 As long as Clemson keeps winning, they should be safe to get a playoff spot since Alabama/Georgia will sort themselves out. That keep winning is a big "if" though. The best unit in football (Clemson's D Line) let A&M get 501 yards with 430 in the air. The pass rush was okay but should have been better with the monsters they have out there. A&M is probably better than people realized, but Clemson can't be the favorite to square off with Bama when they have to sweat out games like this.

TheFlyingBoat 5 God they looked less good than expected yesterday. Their DL was held hard and they got no holding calls to help them out until the last minutes of the game, but the way their corners looked on the field left a lot to be desired. Their offense wasn't particularly special and that suggests they'll have some real issues against elite teams. Luckily for them they're in the ACC so they don't have to worry about that at all until January.

BlueFalcon89 6 This is why I hate early polls.  A&M got robbed but Clemson still looks great.  Am I to believe that A&M is so good on day 1 with a new coach?  We know they have the talent but it's still hard to believe...  With Clemson just squeaking by, I could put them at 4 (the highest possible imo) or as low as 9 (based on other teams).  We just don't know enough.

GilBrandt 6 Didn't crush my Aggies like I feared! Thank goodness. I like to think this is more because the Aggies might be sneaky good and less that Clemson is worse than people expected. Clemson on both sides looked very good at times.

T-Thugs 9 Got a tough win over Texas A&M to jump into the top 10. This is another team I expect to continue moving up my poll. Hard to know exactly how good Texas AM is at this point, but they looked solid. That could end up being a really good win.

Sproded 12 <!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->While this was a good road win for Clemson, TAMU isn't a better team than FSU or KSU and it was a close game so that's while they're below Miss. State and VT.
