calidoc 1 The reigning champ. Will be #1 until I'm given a reason for them not to be. Clemson's performance against Louisville and Auburn cements this.

IAMAVelociraptorAMA 1 As always, you're the king until you're not.  Defending champions, undefeated, with two ranked victories under their belt by week three.  While Alabama may be the better team this year, I repeat that an undefeated defending champion stays at number one until proven otherwise.  Their remaining schedule is no cupcake factory, and if they go undefeated they deserve to stay at number one, regardless of Alabama's dominance.  It's good to be king.

SSJRoshi 1 Have the highest number of really good wins, even if the Auburn win looks a little worse after Auburn's struggles this week, giving the just the edge on the resume to jump Alabama and Oklahoma.

SurpriseSalami 1 This is the best team in the country, the lack of drop off after Watson is amazing and Dabo is definitely the 2nd best coach in college football after Nick Saban.
T-Thugs 1 Impressive and dominating win over Louisville this weekend. Couple that with their win over Auburn and Clemson has the most impressive resume so far. It doesn't hurt that they are reigning champs.

theeguy 1 Complete domination of Louisville on the road. Added to another good win against Auburn leads the Tigers to the top again.
TheOrangeKush81 1 They have the best defense, believe me its the best. And I know defense, trust me, no one knows defense like I do. It's run by a great guy-Brent Venables- I mean can you imagine a better guy to run your defense? And Kelly Bryant's deep ball- Well it's better than Watson's, and, trust me, no one loves Deshaun Watson more than me but that deep ball is just better.

WhiteBaseCoat 1 PLRCOAT: 5.5. Overall I'm relatively satisfied with how these first few teams sorted out. Clemson is benefiting hard from this recent win over Louisville, who has a PLRCOAT of 4; they've also beaten 0-pointer Kent State and 1-pointer Auburn, who's got nothing but the win over 0-pointer Georgia Southern. Neither is super meaningful, except that because of them Clemson is one of only 10 teams in the country with 3 FBS wins at the moment, and that's not nothing.

bluegrassborn 2 Played really well against Louisville.  I put them at number 2 after the first week of games, and this is the first time I have felt confident about them being number 2.
boonamobile 2 Clemson has solid wins over 2 P5 opponents in Auburn and Louisville who both have 2-1 winning records, but the teams they've beaten (Georgia Southern, FCS Mercer, Purdue, and North Carolina) aren't as impressive to the algorithm.

GilBrandt 2 Clemson demolished a Heisman led team. Quite impressive so they jump Alabama in my poll.

Bukowskified 3 Clemson got narrowly edged out by Oklahoma but will settle in the playoff race at number 3. Kudos to Dabo and the boys for picking up two wins over ranked opponents early, but lack of offensive production against Auburn shows that this might not be the same offense as the playoff winners last year. Still sitting in good shape moving forward with UL in their rearview mirror.

Our-Gardian-Angel 3 I'll admit that I didn't really know what to make of Clemson heading into the year. But the Tigers made it clear with a Week 3 road beatdown of Louisville that they are once again among college football's elite. Brent Venables's defense is still one of the nation's best and made life a living hell for reigning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson on Saturday night. Could we be on a crash course for Alabama-Clemson III? Seems like a very real possibility three weeks into the season.

beerslingerjay 4 Okay fine, I'm a believer now. If the playoff were to start tomorrow, Clemson is definitely one of the top four teams in the nation. As the Tigers beat the tar out of the Louisville Fighting Jacksons, it was pretty much complete domination over what everyone thinks is a pretty solid team (consisting of one Lamar Jackson).
HUSKEROYAL 4
Mr_Storm 4 Clemson just doing Clemson things—in a good way. Clemson orange isn't the brightest orange in America, so that was the deal-breaker for team #3.
