Khavanon Ballot for 2017 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 17, 2017, 11:43 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Computer Poll should come out after Week 6. Not a lot of movement in the Top-10 this week, but a lot of shuffle in the lower 60% due to five teams losing. Dropped this week: previously ranked #12 LSU, #13 Stanford, and #23 Kansas State.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide (0) 41-23 over Colorado State. Showing a little weakness this week.
Clemson Tigers (+1) 47-21 road win over previously ranked #20 Louisville. Their resume looks pretty good early.
Oklahoma Sooners (-1) 56-14 over Tulane.
Penn State Nittany Lions (+1) 56-0 over Georgia State.
USC Trojans (-1) 27-24 overtime win over Texas. With their signature win losing to SDSU this week, they're not looking quite as good as I thought they were last week.
Florida State Seminoles (0) Bye.
Ohio State Buckeyes (0) 38-7 over Army.
Michigan Wolverines (0) 29-13 over Air Force.
Washington Huskies (0) 48-16 over Fresno State.
Wisconsin Badgers (0) 40-6 over BYU.
Oklahoma State Cowboys (0) 59-21 over Pittsburgh.
Georgia Bulldogs (+2) 42-14 over Samford. Many of the following teams benefited from lackluster performances from the teams previously above them.
Virginia Tech Hokies (+3) 64-17 over East Carolina.
Florida Gators (+5) 26-20 over previously ranked #18 Tennessee.
Colorado Buffaloes (+2) 41-21 over Northern Colorado. Finally started allowing TDs. Two of those came off turnovers.
Auburn Tigers (0) 24-10 over Mercer. It was a one score game until under five minutes left. They didn't earn the same bump as the teams around them.
USF Bulls (+4) 47-23 over Illinois.
Miami Hurricanes (+4) Bye.
Washington State Cougars (+5) 52-23 over Oregon State.
Mississippi State Bulldogs (NEW) 37-7 over previously ranked #12 LSU.
Kentucky Wildcats (+4) 23-13 over South Carolina.
Tennessee Volunteers (-4) 26-20 loss to previously ranked #19 Florida.
Louisville Cardinals (-3) 47-21 loss to previously ranked #3 Clemson.
San Diego State Aztecs (NEW) 20-17 over previously ranked #13 Stanford.
TCU Horned Frogs (NEW) 56-36 over SMU.
