Overall Rationale: Undefeated and 1-loss teams were subjectively evaluated for viability (with minor bias from the previous CFB poll, see Florida State, Utah) and then graded based on the quality of wins. Wins over P5 schools counted for significantly more than other wins. For teams with 1 loss, the grade of the team they lost to was also considered (see Ohio State, Purdue, Florida). Also, the top 4 must contain teams from different conferences and will eventually considerer playoff selection committee procedures for deciding playoff teams (#wins> conference championships, no MAC schools, etc).
