blahblehblahwhoru Ballot for 2017 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 18, 2017, 9 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Wins against CSU, not much to say here.
Oklahoma Sooners Still high because of the win over tOSU. Not too sure about the strength of the B1G in general though, so if this ends up being their marquee win, they may drop a bit, depending on how other conference play out
Clemson Tigers Put away Lamar Jackson for good, cleaned up nicely.
Oklahoma State Cowboys OSU jumps Penn State because of common denominator performance against Pitt.
Penn State Nittany Lions Gets a shut out, deserve to be the top of the B1G for now.
Michigan Wolverines Marquee win is still over not at full strength Florida. Not much to say here.
Washington Huskies They've been playing cupcakes. Not much to say here either. Winners stay on the up and up though.
USC Trojans Struggled against Texas. Darnold played out of his mind against Stanford and now has this type of performance, similar to that against WMU. Stanford's overranked, so their marquee win drops them, plus their performance this week drops them even more.
Wisconsin Badgers Haven't lost yet, plus they spanked a questionable BYU team.
TCU Horned Frogs Definitely an underranked team. The B12 is looking scary right now.
Ohio State Buckeyes Not really sure where to put them. Their upside is incredible, but so far, the playcalling has been meh. They're still high for how they played against OU but not sure if I trust anyone else below them to be ranked above them.
Virginia Tech Hokies They've won, plus against WVU, who I think is actually semi decent, so...it depends on conference play from here on out.
Miami Hurricanes They're literally riding on preseason. Nothing else to say here.
Colorado Buffaloes Their defense is good or something, their offense has been okay too. Not sure where they stand relative to the PAC, but they've been winning so.
San Diego State Aztecs Beat Stanford at their own game (Chryst is looking really meh, -3 on turnovers helped SDSU, but SDSU played really good football otherwise and capitalized). I respect that. Penny is amazing, and I regret everything I said after our loss. SDSU is literally taking up where I would have ranked Stanford last week.
Florida State Seminoles Literally all the data point I have for FSU is the Alabama game, where they showed they had some potential, then Francois died or something, so not really sure where to put them.
West Virginia Mountaineers They seem decent, but not sure again, depends on conference play, which will sort out more data for the B12.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Didn't get to watch the game, but considering that I thought LSU was pretty good, State get a pretty big boost.
Auburn Tigers Considering that Clemson looked mighty fine this week, Auburn should still be ranked. Not really sure where, so this is where things get muddy.
Washington State Cougars Wazzu continues to win, but dunno how they'll develop as the season goes on. They typically do better once they sort out their playmakers, so I'm ranking more on upside than resume here.
Oregon Ducks Their Nebraska win is kinda looking shaky after Nebraska's loss. They did put together a really good first half again...
Louisville Cardinals Got spanked by Clemson. Lamar Jackson still moved the ball somewhat, but...it wasn't enough
Utah Utes Utah confuses me. Their BYU game was a rivalry game so not sure if it's that meaningful data.
California Golden Bears They have 2 wins against P5 programs, but not sure how those are. I'm gonna leave them here, but it really ends up being how all three of these teams do in their respective conferences.
Vanderbilt Commodores Beat Kansas Stat, not sure if that says more about them or Vanderbilt, but it's the bottom of the 25, so not any real qualms about ranking them here.
