...This Clemson team is better than Miami in terms of well-roundedness. Wonder who'd be favored?

Last Week #12 vs Virginia // Won 48 - 31 // Another solid win since their week 1 loss. Clemson was not able to completely pull away from Virginia, but I don't think there is a single Clemson fan complaining right now.

Props to them for keeping winning. I just let them get passed since other teams have had more impressive wins/stayed undefeated.

I want to put Clemson higher than I have them, but that's just an uninspiring resume. Yes, they've blown out every team except Georgia, but that's the only good team they've played and they lost by 31. I think they're better than 18th, but they have to prove it by beating *someone* notable.

Got their best win on the year against UVA, lots of mid tier teams coming up

As I said last week, Clemson is probably under ranked, but comparing to Pitt & SMU's resumes these are correct. Pitt is still undefeated and has still been able to grind out some close wins against decent teams like Cal & Cincinnati. SMU's only loss is to (in my rankings) a higher ranked BYU team and only by 3 points. Clemson's loss is a blowout to a lower ranked Georgia team. Additionally, in matchups that overlap with their counterparts, the other teams have had better results. Clemson will have the chance to prove it against Pitt. later in the season.

Tier 4.

Speaking of Tigers that play in Death Valley, Clemson notched another dominant win, and with Georgia winning over Texas, their loss doesn't look quite as bad. It's still up in the air as to how good this Clemson team really is without any ranked wins, which is why that matchup against Pitt looks so interesting and will likely be telling for Clemson's CFP chances.
