G-manP 2 Clemson was just able to win the Tiger v. Tiger battle this Saturday. Didn't do enough to move either way in my poll. Defense has some questions.

mickeyquicknumbers 2 They survived with just barely enough working in their favor not to be dropped. It will be about 6 more weeks before we have a real bearing on how good this team is.
monkeymatt1836 2 Clemson took care of a feisty Auburn team that would not go away. WR Mike Williams shined in his return after being out most of last year with a neck injury. Williams was Deshaun Watson's favorite target, hauling in 9 catches for 174 yards. RB Wayne Gallman had a solid night with 30 carries for 123 yards and a TD. Clemson's defense played pretty well for a team who lost a lot of players to the NFL and graduation. They did not give up a TD until the 4th quarter, and only allowed 87 yards on 41 carries. Safe to say Clemson has reloaded on the defense.
MrTheSpork 2 Not an amazing performance against Auburn, but a win's a win, especially an opening game at a hostile foe. There's not been anything to merit dropping 'em nor has there been a statement game for someone to jump.

SpeedxKills 2 Was really tempted to drop Clemson a little after playing a close game with an unranked Auburn team that was playing musical chairs at QB. The fact that they were playing on the road in a hostile SEC environment is the only saving grace. One could make a case for FSU and OSU here, but Clemson stays... for now.

swodaem2005 3 Clemson's offensive performance against Auburn is difficult to interpret.  Auburn's preseason expectations were not high, but they are still a quality P5 opponent with enough play makers on defense to reasonably conclude that their performance against Clemson was not a fluke.  Barring a disaster performance, it's still reasonable to expect Clemson to be a national championship contender - but Florida State's win against Ole Miss merits a jump in the rankings.

TheFlyingBoat 3 They beat Auburn in an unconvincing fashion. Good enough for a #3, but FSU passes them for obvious reasons.

atchemey 4 Clemson looked sloppy at times, and let Auburn hang around for too long. Ultimately, they still are one of the 1-0 teams with an FBS win and a TON of talent, but their performance was somewhat tenuous.

BugsSuck 4 Clemson...struggled, almost. I still question the coaching, but there was just something about Watson that didn't feel like I was watching some super star again. Maybe I'm just used to it or maybe there were plenty other incredible players who played before his Saturday night game, but all in all I felt they should have performed better against Auburn.

kdcoltred 6 Showed signs of 2014 Florida State and 2015 Ohio State, except they didn't win a title. Only two gamest are going to matter on their schedule moving forward, and I'm not sure if they'll win either or both (Louisville, @ Florida State). Plenty of time to prove they can get a defense and special teams

hokies220 7 Well, they won. Auburn couldn't figure out how they wanted to run their offense and that was great for Clemson. Auburn's defense did much better than I expected against Watson and company. Overall though it's a good win and with probably the best QB in the country I'm not too worried that Dabo will get them back to last year's pace.
