swanky-k Ballot for 2016 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 6, 2016, 8:48 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Joey Freshwater's Revenge!
Clemson Tigers Solid win at a tough place to play.  2 and 2a with Florida State, but I'll keep them at 2 for now with a close eye on those two teams.
Florida State Seminoles Great win.  They may jump Clemson very soon, currently basically tied with them to me.  I'm excited for that game.
Stanford Cardinal Stanford's field looks really good on TV, especially with their classic jerseys.  I really enjoyed watching their game, and not many top teams took care of business like the Cardinal did.
Michigan Wolverines I'm excited to see this team against tough competition and not a team playing at 6 A.M. its local time.  Solid win, though.
Houston Cougars Already getting excited for the debate between a 1-loss P5 champ and undefeated Houston for the CFP!
Ohio State Buckeyes Great win, but I'm still not sold on tOSU as a whole
Georgia Bulldogs Good win for the dwags.  As a UNC fan, I thought UGA got a friendly whistle, and I'm not yet sure if Georgia is great defensively or if Mitch Trubisky just needs to find Jesus.  Probably a combo of the two.  Good luck the rest of the season, Georgia.
Washington Huskies Good win against Rutgers.  The Pac-12 is weird this year, I'm not really sold on anybody yet aside from maybe Stanford, but I guess UW seems solid right now.
Michigan State Spartans Not fazed by an unimpressive win, they'll figure it out and end up top 10.
Wisconsin Badgers Maybe I'm overreacting to the win, but for now I'm in on the Badgers.
Texas A&M Aggies Again, probably overreacting to that last win, but what the hell.  Gig 'em.
Louisville Cardinals Impressive win.  Could the Cards threaten for the Atlantic? ... probably not but they'll give FSU and/or Clemson a scare.
Texas Longhorns I have no clue what to make of the Notre Dame game.  14 seems fair after an OT home win over a top 10 team.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Won't know much about them for the next few weeks, so 15 is fair.
Iowa Hawkeyes I honestly don't know much about Iowa this year, but they seem more solid than other teams.
Oklahoma Sooners Hmm, Oklahoma upset by a team from Texas at a neutral site in Texas? Sounds like a recipe for the Sooners to overcome the loss and make the CFP.  The rest of their season is reeeeally interesting now.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Still have no clue what to make of the loss to Texas.  I wasn't sold on ND going in, but I guess going to OT in Austin means something?
LSU Tigers They'll be back. That defense is really good.
Ole Miss Rebels They'll jump up to top 10 when they beat Bama again lol
Oregon Ducks Pac-12 is weird, still not sold on anybody in particular
Florida Gators That Tennessee game is still super interesting but the two competitors may not be as good as we previously thought.
Tennessee Volunteers Wow. I can't imagine if a top 10 P5 team lost at home in week 1 to App State. That would be super embarrassing!
UCLA Bruins No clue what to make of their loss.  Did I mention the Pac-12 is weird this year?
North Carolina Tar Heels Very frustrating loss. We got outcoached, but we aren't a bad team.  At Illinois under the lights will be very telling of what kind of team UNC has.  Things could theoretically spiral with Pitt, FSU, and VT on the horizon.
