_Brazenhead_ 1 They pretty much dominated what, according to my poll, is a top-ten squad. They seem firmly in control to win another showdown with Alabama again this year.

BigBoutros 1 Solid, if not spectacular performance against a talented and well-coached Texas A&M. Not the most exciting game of the day but that's a testament to Clemson's clean run of play.

chrisb19 1 the win over the Aggies wasn't as compelling as I would have expected, but that probably says more about A&M than it does Clemson. Number 1 until proven otherwise.

stripes361 1 Despite being #2 in both FPI and SP+, I'm holding Clemson here for now because I like Travis Etienne more than the Alabama backs. The margin of difference between the two teams is razor thin, however.Trevor Lawrence should be a Heisman candidate.

T-Thugs 1 Reigning champs easily handled Texas A&M. 2-0 with wins over two p5 opponents.

iliketoupvotepuns 2 Clemson looked dominant against Georgia Tech, but looked like it had a couple of weaknesses against Texas A&M. Nevertheless, they coasted to a comfortable win where the final score was not indicative of how not close the game was. Clemson deserves to keep their top 2 spot until proven otherwise, particularly considering they easily have the best chance to make the playoff between their talent and schedule.

TheFlyingBoat 2 Trevor Lawrence has looked uncharacteristically poor the past two games. I'd assume it's just some rust/chemistry issues that will resolve itself eventually, but it could be some sophomore slump type stuff, too. Until he gets back to form, I'm moving Clemson to 2 and Bama to 1
