Our-Gardian-Angel Ballot for 2017 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 18, 2017, 10:16 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama comfortably beat Colorado State to move to 3-0 heading into conference play. With the rest of the SEC is consumed by chaos, the Crimson Tide seem destined to win yet another conference title and earn another College Football Playoff berth. Save us, Dan Mullen, you're our only hope.
Oklahoma Sooners After last week's huge road win over Ohio State, the Sooners came out a little flat in the first quarter against Tulane. But after being tied 14-14, Oklahoma rattled off 42 unanswered points on its way to another convincing victory.
Clemson Tigers I'll admit that I didn't really know what to make of Clemson heading into the year. But the Tigers made it clear with a Week 3 road beatdown of Louisville that they are once again among college football's elite. Brent Venables's defense is still one of the nation's best and made life a living hell for reigning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson on Saturday night. Could we be on a crash course for Alabama-Clemson III? Seems like a very real possibility three weeks into the season.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Penn State Nittany Lions
Washington Huskies
USC Trojans
Wisconsin Badgers
Michigan Wolverines
Florida State Seminoles
Georgia Bulldogs
Miami Hurricanes
Ohio State Buckeyes
Virginia Tech Hokies
Mississippi State Bulldogs
Washington State Cougars
Utah Utes
TCU Horned Frogs
Louisville Cardinals
West Virginia Mountaineers
USF Bulls
San Diego State Aztecs
Colorado Buffaloes
Vanderbilt Commodores Vanderbilt in the top 25. This feels weird. But the Commodores certainly deserve it after a 3-0 start and a win over a Kansas State team that some (myself included) pegged as a dark horse threat to win the Big 12. Next up: playing host to Alabama. Godspeed, Derek Mason.
Oregon Ducks
