bgr308 Ballot for 2018 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Rank Team Reason
1 Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama rolled through Arkansas State. This team has immense talent and coaching; they are my number one team until I'm shown otherwise. Their kicking issues might hurt them late in the season in close games though.
2 Oklahoma Sooners Kyler Murray is continuing right where Mayfield left off. He is leading one of the most explosive offenses in college football. Mike Stoop's defense is still the weakness of the team. Starting RB Rodney Anderson will be missed. The rest of the Big 12 is still behind OU, but there might be some shootouts down the road.
3 Clemson Tigers The Tigers survived a scare in College Station against Jimbo's Aggies Saturday night. The defense held them to only 26 points, but allowed 530 yards through the air and allowed A&M to pick up 25 first downs. The offense also could have played better, only picking up 14 first downs and going 4/14 on third downs. This team still has immense talent across the board, but might have some scares throughout the year. Still a favorite in the ACC.
4 Ohio State Buckeyes Rutgers has still only scored 3 touchdowns on Ohio State since they have joined the B1G 4 seasons ago. The Buckeyes' defense held them to only 3 points, while the offense was mostly perfect on Saturday. Their biggest test so far will be next weekend in Jerryworld, when they will play TCU in the final game of Urban Meyer's suspension. Ohio State will have some trouble in their division, but should still be the favorite to win the conference.
5 Georgia Bulldogs Georgia demolished a South Carolina team that many thought could upset the Dawgs. Game was close at the half but in the second half it was not. Georgia showed their RB depth even with the injury to Zamir White, by having 5 backs receive at least five carries. This team will be tough, especially if they improve by the end of the year. Games against Auburn and LSU will be big.
6 Wisconsin Badgers Good time to mention that there is little separation between teams 2 and 6 in my eyes. Wisconsin is in the bottom of the group for now but it is very close. They took care of business against New Mexico this week, with a huge game from their awesome running back Jonathon Taylor, with 253 yards and 3 scores. They are still the favorite in the West, but the schedule is tough and they could slip up on the road.
