CarbonCamaroZL1 Ballot for 2018 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 9, 2018, 3:48 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Teams removed: MSU, South Carolina, FloridaReasons: MSU's schedule sucks so far. Not a great win against a cupcake and losing to Arizona State, granted by not much away, still had a very bad offensive showing. South Carolina lost to a highly ranked Georgia. They are barely off the list but should be back if they can convince people they deserve to, but getting blown out at home by even a top 3 Georgia is never good. Finally, Florida losing and looking horrible as always.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Still scary.
Georgia Bulldogs Defeated a ranked South Carolina away. Gets to move up ahead of Ohio State for that one.
Ohio State Buckeyes Beat Rutgers the way they needed to, however they haven't played anyone and Georgia beat a ranked team away. They deserve the spot.-1
Clemson Tigers Barely got past Texas A&M, who are a good team, but this probably shouldn't have been close like this for a Top 5 team. I will keep them here for now but they will need to be more convincing over the next couple of weeks.
Wisconsin Badgers Another 31 point win against a cupcake. Not really deserving to move up yet, but also not deserving to drop.
Auburn Tigers Destroyed Alabama! Well, Alabama State. Yup.
Oklahoma Sooners Beat a decent UCLA team convincingly.
Stanford Cardinal Beat a ranked USC by 2 scores.+3
Washington Huskies Beat a cupcake the way they needed to.
LSU Tigers Shutout a cupcake.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Moving back due to barely beating Ball State at home. Need to be more convincing. The offense looked horrible. Starting to wonder if the Michigan/ND game was a fluke... Might be a bit exaggerated but Washington, LSU and Stanford all have better resumes.-3
Virginia Tech Hokies Beat a cupcake by quite a bit.
West Virginia Mountaineers Also beat a cupcake by a lot.
Penn State Nittany Lions Took down an in state rival very convincingly.
TCU Horned Frogs Another cupcake handled.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Beat KSU handily.+1
UCF Knights Shutout another cupcake, but still rolling. Can't move up too far quite yet but they probably will once other teams ahead of them start dropping.+1
Michigan Wolverines Much more convincing showing. ND might have been a fluke, not sure yet. Could have just been a rivalry hype or Michigan failing to succeed yet again against ranked teams even though I know we are the better team. Or Ball State is just really good. Who knows. Lots of questions for this season but it looks more promising than last season.+2
Boise State Broncos Blew out their opponent.+2
Oregon Ducks Blew out their opponent as well.+2
Oklahoma State Cowboys Blew out another opponent.+3
Miami Hurricanes Much more convincing win. Probably didn't deserve to be taken off the Top 25 after losing to a potentially really good LSU. NEW
Arizona State Sun Devils Won against a previously ranked MSU by 3 and had a blowout win last week. NEW
USC Trojans Lost to a ranked Stanford away. Not quite off the list yet, but their offense proved to disappoint so they are on the Top 25 Hot Seat.-5
Boston College Eagles Two convincing blow out wins. No reason to not be listed over some other teams who have failed to compete.NEW
